Have you noticed that Mondial Relay shipping fees have increased since yesterday? For a small package, the price went from 2.89 to 3.19. This is likely linked to the current international situation.
I now understand why my few sales yesterday were only with Chronopost (which is rare), given that at 2.99, Chronopost is now the cheapest after VintedGo.
Hello,
Indeed, I just saw this increase.
I noticed something else: When I’m on my personal account and I want to buy from a professional seller, I have a lot of trouble choosing a delivery service other than Vinted Go when it comes to a small package (I specify). This is true whether on computer or phone.
And even though I click on « list of pickup points, » sometimes I only see Vinted Go, even though I know for a fact that Mondial Relay or Chronopost are available and numerous in my area.
And I’ve tested this with several professional sellers: me, @Gametoysretro, and others who have Vinted Go locations near them. It’s as if Vinted favors its lockers over other carriers. This could be unfair and cause professional sellers to lose sales.
Otherwise, Vinted Go shipping costs are between €1.95 and €2.83, so still much lower than Chronopost!
Yes, indeed!
And I love Vinted, which doesn’t warn sellers at all about the appearance of this option.
I missed a sale (in my opinion, the day they launched DHL) because I don’t have any DHL points near me, and that’s for miles around!
So I deactivated this carrier.
I’m a pro but I don’t really have this issue. I’ve never had a request to ship via Vintedgo. Probably because there aren’t any drop-off points in my area yet. But given the problems I see many sellers having with Vintedgo, I’m not unhappy about it for now, even if I might miss out on some sales by not being able to offer this shipping method.
Since I don’t have it in my town, I find it hard to be understanding
The problem is mainly that their logistics are not adapted. It’s completely incomprehensible to put it on categories where there will inevitably be size issues. Especially since it’s written in their T&Cs that Vinted Go is not made for cardboard boxes. We should have the choice to select our carriers for each listing to avoid problems.
Personally, I only have a few Chronopost drop-off points right in the city center, so it’s too inconvenient, but the MR points are clearly easier to access and available everywhere.
For VintedGo, there’s only one point available, and I have almost no sales with them.
For DHL, there are none within 40 km, and that’s good for UPS, which remains, for me, the worst carrier in all categories.
One time I had a UPS delivery person show up at my door, but the package wasn’t ready because I absolutely didn’t know it worked like that. I later saw that there was UPS and UPS Home. That’s why it’s annoying when carriers are imposed or put in place without notice; we all have constraints that Vinted can’t take into account for us.
Another package lost sent by Vinted Go in the Netherlands. Vinted refunds if the package hasn’t arrived after 25 working days. A package sent on February 27th, with tracking no longer updated since March 9th, Vinted refunded me on April 3rd. This is the 3rd package lost by Vinted Go. I understand that some buyers don’t want to send via Vinted Go.
