Deleted listings: photos from another website

Hello, my best wishes to all. I am Aline and I just registered on your site because today an unfortunate event happened to me.
Vinted tells me there is an issue with my photos, specifically that perhaps they were not taken by me or that they appear on another site… indeed, I put items from my wardrobe up for sale on leboncoin and they are the same photos. Is this forbidden?
Thank you for your answer. I have only been using Vinted for a few months, so I don’t know all the rules by heart yet.

It’s crazy, we wouldn’t be allowed to sell on other platforms with our photos?

Look no further, Le Bon Coin adds a filter to the photos so that their name appears, therefore Vinted blocks ads for the competitor. So always post ads on Vinted first to avoid problems.

Ah, okay, thanks for the info. But still, it seems to me that I had already put it on Vinted and that it was after that I put it on Leboncoin, so it’s true that the photos are exactly the same…
I contested their warning but they didn’t want to know anything.
The time we spend taking photos, I find it a shame.

That’s strange, I use my Vinted photos on Beebs, LBC, and eBay and have never had this issue.

Hello! Well, I’m having the same misadventure regarding a deleted listing, except for me it would be a non-compliant item.

Sorry, I’m continuing… so the item is non-compliant. It’s a Bodum French press coffee maker, 0.35L. They deleted my direct listing. I opened a dispute. I received a first message saying it could take 120 hours to get a response, and then immediately after, a second message stating that my item is non-compliant with the items allowed on Vinted. Checking the site, I see that many similar items are for sale  Furthermore, they say in this second message that I cannot contest their decision? I don’t want to make a pun, but I will: it’s a bit rich. Does anyone have any tips? Thanks It appears that one of your listings contains a type of home item that is not permitted on Vinted, which goes against our Catalogue Rules.

Therefore, we have removed one or more of your listings.

Important: if this happens again, we may have to block your account temporarily or permanently, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Please note that the following items are prohibited from sale:

  • Furniture, such as beds, sideboards, wardrobes and storage units, cabinets, outdoor furniture, chairs, armchairs and sofas, partitions and dividers, tables and desks
  • Mattresses, mattress toppers, and duvets
  • Kitchen utensils and appliances for food preparation, cooking equipment and appliances, and kitchen supplies

The following items are permitted for sale:

  • Home items, such as home textiles and tableware
  • Home accessories, such as candles and candle holders, clocks (table clocks and wall clocks), shelves, picture and photo frames, mirrors (table mirrors and wall mirrors), storage (jewelry boxes, jewelry cases, makeup organizers, garment bags and hangers, baskets and boxes), and vases

We invite you to follow these recommendations:

  1. Review your wardrobe and remove any items that are prohibited from sale on Vinted.
  2. Consult our Catalogue Rules to learn more about what you can and cannot sell on Vinted . As a reminder, the list of prohibited items is not exhaustive and should only be used as a guide.
  3. For more information on the actions we have taken and to find out why we hide or remove listings, please visit our Help Centre.

Please note that we unfortunately cannot refund paid services (such as Bump or Wardrobe Spotlight) when we remove a listing that violates our rules.

Thank you for your understanding,

It is no longer possible to contest this decision. The appeal period has expired, or you have already filed an appeal, or this is not applicable to this situation.

I’ve already had the same kind of thing, once for some cassolettes, and then ink cartridges, even though I put them in the right categories, and when I check on their site, there are already 1001 similar listings, and mine was refused.
I contested it, but it was no use, nothing to understand.

Thank you Valentindu62. It’s still exaggerated. I just wrote to Legal@vinted. We’ll see what happens next, if anything!!

Feel like sending a gif (but I can’t), but the answer you might receive: NONE

I already sent an email to say so and in the end, nothing.
