Hello everyone,
I sold a pair of almost new sneakers. My listing clearly mentioned the minor defects, with photos to support this.
Upon receiving the package, the buyer stated that the sneakers do not match, are worn, and have defects.
I was surprised, but I agreed to proceed with the return. The buyer therefore has 5 working days to send the package back.
After several days, there was no news… so I checked their profile and their closet, and there I noticed that they had relisted the sneakers (at double the price), clearly stating that they have no defects! And even using my photos…
In my opinion, this is a clear case of dishonesty!
Finally, the buyer sent the package back to me today (the last possible day for them). But obviously to a drop-off point that is 45 minutes away from me and with very, very, very restricted opening hours…
Vinted apparently can’t do anything for me… Seller protection is 0/20!
What happens if I don’t pick up the package? Because I must admit that taking half a day off work for this is the last straw…
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello everyone,
For your information, Vinted’s response: if I don’t collect the package, it will be returned to the sender (i.e., the buyer) who can then keep it…
Unbelievable!
Hello
Yes, as with any shipment… If the package is not collected, it will be returned to the sender…
The recipient will then have 48 hours to declare non-receipt of their package on the Vinted transaction page…
Frankly, in my humble opinion, it would be better to get your property back and put it back on the market… There will certainly be other interested people.
Hello,
Yes, I will go and retrieve it, by taking a day off. There is no question of a dishonest person profiting from this situation created intentionally.
Have a nice day
Hello,
What’s suspicious is that they put them back on sale using the same photos as yours and that they sent you a package. Did they send you the correct shoes back?
You should report the item for resale. It seems to me that Vinted does not allow the use of third-party photos, nor resale at a higher price (commercial practice).
I find this whole story a bit fishy…
Have a good day everyone!
Thank you for your reply.
I will film the opening of the package, hoping not to have any bad surprises.
Afterwards, I will leave a review, report the listing (even if I already did to Vinted’s customer service) and block them…
Fingers crossed that this whole thing ends…
Thank you all.
Ah, is their announcement still online?
