Feedback on multiple accounts

Hello,
What are the experiences of those who have multiple accounts?

On my end, managing two accounts since last year, with the same types of products (but no overlap between accounts), I see that activity has simply doubled.

The figures on Clemz’s dashboard are unambiguous.

I won’t venture into explanations related to the algorithm, as it’s as futile as conspiracy theories, but I’m curious about your experiences.

Obviously, this makes me want to have a #3 account, and a #4 account, if each one adds business without accounts #1 and #2 suffering from it.

I don’t know how you manage to have more than 2 accounts if you are a pro.

Evidently, some people do indeed have numerous accounts. A clue: Clemz’s prices.

Hello Faune,
it’s not a very reliable clue: we designed multi-dressing to share a subscription with loved ones (sister, mother, or partner) It had been a recurring request for several years

Hello, my feeling about multi-accounting is positive for me and it allows to segment products, which is the number 1 asset for me.

Personally, I have several, I am mainly in clothing and I could not mix low-priced items and much more expensive items, it would not make sense for people who would visit my closet.

The batch feature would not be profitable for me either and the search for items would be complicated on a single closet.

Moreover, the algorithm segments searches and therefore promotes sellers’ items according to customer searches.

There is also the advantage of being able to continue selling in case of an account ban.

And yes, I think it can lead to additional gains because several accounts = increased visibility.

After that, it also requires X times more work etc..

I did it mainly for that reason and I’m glad I did (even though for now I’ve only had temporary blocks). Each time it allows me to cushion the blow a bit.

But still, when I see the difference in visibility between a pro and personal account, I wonder if I’m not going to really start thinking in terms of a dual account. After all, it remains a workaround and it annoys me to work like this.

Hello everyone,

To have multiple accounts, does that mean you have:

  • personal accounts only
  • One phone per account
  • One IBAN per account

??? Or did I misunderstand Vinted’s terms and conditions?

How do you manage identity verification with official documents like an ID card?

I’m asking myself the same questions. Knowing that I almost only work on PC.

2 different browsers? 2 different bank accounts? 2 different phones?

It’s obvious that having multiple accounts even for the same product categories is an advantage on Vinted, it doubles your products in the first line.

For Faune: are you posting the same type of ad? Same background, same description? Different images for your accounts? Because you’re doing the same thing on both, right? Isn’t that risky? Because for 2 accounts with different products, it’s not noticeable (by users).

A professional account and a non-professional account? Because as an individual seller, you risk exceeding the limit.

As a Pro, we are also allowed to have a personal account.

and what do you put on it, your personal stuff?

Very easy, and totally mundane, to have a few accounts: you just need to manage all the household accounts. This also addresses identity issues.

I only have one copy of the products I put up for sale, so there are never duplicates from one account to another. On the other hand, I have gradually specialized the accounts, for example, comics on one and novels on another.

I work on a computer. I have different browsers for each account, because logging in and out is a nightmare. This is also a limitation, as there aren’t dozens of browsers available.

And since I don’t want to have problems with the tax authorities, I declare everything.

The problem with multi-accounts on Vinted is that as long as everything works, many feel like “it’s okay”. But in reality, the system seems to work mostly by risk levels and correlations.

As long as there are no:

  • duplicates,

  • suspicious behaviors,

  • overly linked connections,

  • or reports,

it can indeed multiply overall visibility and sales volume.

However, since this year Vinted seems much more aggressive on cross-detections:

  • device,

  • IP,

  • posting habits,

  • similar photos,

  • descriptions,

  • payment methods,

  • location,

etc.

The real risk is mainly the “cascade ban”: when an account is identified as problematic, linked accounts can sometimes go down with it, even if they were clean individually.

So yes, multiple accounts can clearly increase activity, but the larger the network of accounts grows, the larger the detection surface also increases.

Yes, I recently learned that each user has a bot suspicion score. I imagine there must be the same thing for multiple accounts. Up to a certain level it is acceptable and then the last straw and then, poof, the sanction falls.

Do you have sources, and if so, what are they?
