I manage 3 personal Vinted accounts (mine + my parents’) with a total turnover of approximately €10k last year. This year I opened my sole proprietorship but I have 3 major problems:
Tax Declaration:
The accounts are in their name (therefore linked to their tax number), but the income passes through my sole proprietorship.
Question: How to declare this without inconsistency? Can I put everything in my micro-enterprise even if the accounts are in their name? How to reconcile their personal declaration with the situation?
Images flagged as « stolen »:
My photos (even those I take myself) are banned for « web copy ».
I won’t be able to help you with personal experience.
However, it seems to me that using a white background (true white) is indeed conducive to reporting (even if it’s not justified because it’s just a background).
On the other hand, selling mostly new items on a second-hand site is a sure way to get yourself flagged…
from the moment you bypass, there will always be something that will cause problems from an administrative point of view (then it’s up to each person to accept the risk or not)
Already, if you’re in micro, why not keep it simple by having a pro account? This will allow you to have a personal account in parallel if you wish to bypass the difficulties of pro accounts on Vinted. It is authorized by Vinted and there is already enough to do like that. At least you will be clear with the tax authorities and Urssaf. Where it will not be clear is at the level of the dgccrf (but the risk is still minimal, they have other things to chase). But in your current system, you are « borderline » for all administrations, so the risk is multiplied.
I would also say that instead of spending energy multiplying accounts, perhaps you should consider multiplying platforms. This allows you to position yourself everywhere, it’s an environment where everything can change quickly so it’s good to already be in place.
I have a photographer’s background (a huge special sheet) for my photos. Do you think this is a problem? What is the definition of « commercial sale » for Vinted? Because I am a professional. Therefore, a merchant. On the other hand, I only sell second-hand items (with one or two exceptions). I do not buy and resell on Vinted/Vinted. All my items are thrifted. I do not buy in bulk like many do.
I cannot help you with the definition of « commercial sale, » but I can help you with the sheet, ahah.
I don’t think it’s a problem, especially since you are a professional on Vinted. Try it on a few items to see if it makes a difference in your sales?
I also thought about multiplying platforms, apparently there’s potential on Ebay with the same kind of content that works on Vinted. I didn’t want to switch to a pro account at first because it only presented disadvantages given my situation. I simply manage my account and my parents manage theirs, and that’s how we gradually progressed; it wasn’t too energy-intensive since each person managed their own account. Now the question I’m asking myself is how do those with multiple accounts manage? I know they have multiple phones, email addresses, and numbers (1 per account), but do they use the same tax number for all of them or not? In which case, I could simply declare my mother’s account (my father’s is less active) along with mine and continue like this. Thanks anyway for your time and your answers
It must be understood that, in absolute terms, going pro is not a « choice, » it’s a legal obligation. Personally, I would advise you to have at least one to be a little clearer. Especially since Vinted allows you to have one pro and one personal account, and it’s free.
Because it provides a reporting argument for “photos from the web”. I stopped doing it and since then my visibility has become less random, fewer reports and therefore certainly fewer account restrictions (which we are not always aware of). And I simply think that Vinted users don’t appreciate it.
Ah okay, I see, but that’s precisely the question I was asking myself regarding declarations. I don’t think it’s feasible either. However, I wonder how those who create multiple accounts do it? Does everything go under their name with their tax number? Is it just the phone, their number, and the email that changes? Because in that case, it must be tough with Vinted, who can easily link multiple accounts. Especially since, at some point, you have to send an ID to make money transfers.
Ok, thank you very much for your advice, that’s what I think too. The fact is that switching this professional account and creating a new personal account requires using a new phone number, which seems « strange » to me if it’s actually allowed for only one person to have both. I also think it’s the best solution, but I’ll still see if it’s possible at the tax office for me to declare my mother’s account under my sole proprietorship (unlikely, I think, but you have to check). It would be the simplest solution, avoiding me having to start a new account from scratch.
From what I understand, it’s Mangopay, the fund transfer service, that handles identities, and they don’t worry about multiple accounts.
I don’t have all the information; I was only managing my professional account for 3 years before being permanently blocked without prior warning, like a dog.
Hmmm okay I see. Well that’s also the problem with Vinted, you can be excluded without notice, nothing at all even if you’ve been selling for a long time. And I saw that you recreated several personal accounts to start over, didn’t they catch you by putting everything under the same name?
Hello, were you able to recover your account? You have some really nice things on there, I see huge accounts like jaiio that I was talking about with Lucile. How do they manage not to be bothered?
