Abusive restriction of a professional account for commercial sales

Did you receive the 2 Vinted messages in a row?
I received the first one but not the one about the sanction (the second one).
I’m trying to understand their sanction system.

I received one in the morning, and the other in the afternoon. I was unblocked on Friday, but this morning I received this message which makes me think I am still flagged as a personal account:

You need to delete all the ads that are marked as hidden in red on your profile, otherwise they will block you again.

I don’t have a red hidden item on my profile

But before you received this second message, did you still have some hidden, undeleted articles?

No, I haven’t received any even after their first messages last week.

Do you have a lot of items? If I were you, I would have kept a low profile. I think I would have deleted everything and put them back on sale very slowly over the next two weeks.

I have also just been restricted for 5 days on my professional account for commercial sales of second-hand jeans.

Now you know how to prove your good faith. I may be paranoid, but I have the impression that some participants in this forum are coming to see the competition…

I’m really sorry for you.

It’s become the Wild West on Vinted, even as a professional there’s no more protection.

With a bit of luck, you won’t get a permanent ban once this restriction is over.

Good luck!

I plan to get unblocked before the restriction ends, it’s not conceivable to let warnings accumulate because of a cardboard algorithm.

I have a question:
There was a general outage, I think it was last Friday.

And within 24/48 hours that followed, a wave of warning/ban messages for many professionals, some received dozens, I find that surprising, unless dozens or more decided to spread the word to report all these accounts, at the same time, unlikely.

Could it be that behind this outage or attack, and then all these messages, there is either a bug on the site, or an activity external to Vinted, by a group, either competitors or ideological, to destabilize the site?

Yes, I confirm that groups have formed to mass-report. A pro told me they received 150 reports in 3 days. From February 2nd to 6th, I myself was reported every day. I’ve been in « vacation » mode since then… here are the kinds of groups that exist and are apparently proud to destroy the work of others.

Good luck

You have to look beyond this forum. On Threads, you have groups whose sole purpose is to get PRO accounts blocked. A dressing room is highlighted and it is noted « at your clicks, it must be blocked ». This is surely not an isolated group.

That’s exactly what I was saying. I saw that on Threads yesterday. Unbelievable

With the user manual included. You have to insist on it :face_with_steam_from_nose:

Wow, that would explain a lot, but I find it surprising that Vinted would arbitrarily restrict especially pro accounts.

I don’t understand the goal of these people, nor Vinted’s goal in letting this happen.

Vinted will earn less, our customers will have less choice, and we will put our energy elsewhere.

if you understand the purpose, because I’m still looking for it, apart from having absolutely nothing else to do

That’s excessive!! You have about fifty in a 3-day period!

And I haven’t even put everything in yet
