Hello, I bought a dress for 100 euros new on Vinted, but it’s actually worn with 2 holes in the fabric. The seller is accusing me of making the holes. Vinted has approved the return, and so has she. But the seller says that if I return the item, she will claim that I made the holes or something else, and her goal is for me not to be refunded. Vinted’s help is stuck in a loop about my return deadline and how to return the item. But I am worried about what she will say or do. Even if I take photos of the package, the dress, etc. She might win the case with Vinted (they are sometimes a bit strange with their decisions). Has anyone experienced this before, do you have any advice? Thanks in advance to all
Seller professional or private individual? Did you take photos when you opened the package? Keep the seller’s original photos and your own photos with the holes. A €100 dress is not insignificant! Generally, the buyer wins in case of problems (you pay for buyer protection!) so make sure you have all the evidence on your side to show that this dress arrived with holes that could not have been visible in the seller’s photos, and it should go well…
Good evening, thank you for your message. I did not take the photos inside the package but opened a dispute 10 minutes after collecting the package. I have photos of the packaging which is intact and of the whole dress, as well as photos of the holes. In these photos they are not visible because they are not close enough or are in shadow. Vinted is stuck on the regulations but not intervening. The seller is so firm and threatening. I think it’s intimidation to prevent me from returning the dress. Anyway, I hope so.
Thank you very much in any case. Have a good evening
