In 2025 I earned €1156.85 for 60 sales.
Today, I received this message: “We just want to remind you that selling items in large quantities can be considered a commercial activity. Therefore, we have had to hide one or more of your listings and restrict your selling ability for 5 days.” Is this normal??
I asked them to give me a reason, not recognizing myself in any of the reasons given, but I only received the same previous message and it was no longer possible to communicate. I’m certainly not going to go professional to sell the collection of toy cars my dad left us, which brings in a thousand euros a year…
Many people come here with this problem. Personally, I sell more per month than you have in a year (I’m a pro, of course), and right now I’m re-publishing 100 listings per day in addition to the ones I’m adding, and I haven’t had any ban issues. My merchandise is second-hand fashion items.
I deduce that it’s not the quantity of what you’re selling that’s the issue, but the nature of what you’re selling.
My hypothesis: your toy cars are probably new, and therefore Vinted’s automatic check doesn’t differentiate between what you’re selling and what someone buying a lot of new toy cars from China and selling them on Vinted would sell.
It’s clearly this type of seller profile they eliminate; Vinted doesn’t want to become a sub-Temu, they think these sellers are a threat to their platform and they ban them.
My advice: don’t just sell one type of new item (toy cars), but mix it up with other items, of a different nature and second-hand if possible (clothes, books, etc…)
And then come back and tell us if you’re still banned from Vinted.
Okay, I understand, although they are not Temu brands but rather (Hachette, Majorette, etc.) and the boxes are very old although « new. » I’m running out of stock, (it was mostly to get rid of them) I almost have no new toy cars to list, but yes I have other items. I’m dropping clothes, they don’t sell well for me; but I still have books, various items from Japan, and toys.

Personally, I’ll give you another piece of advice… if I may.
Don’t linger on Vinted to sell a miniature car collection of such brands… (certainly at values well below what you could have obtained, there is a valuation for this type of product)
Finally, I assume you already knew that…
There are therefore other platforms that are much more suitable…
I understand what you mean, but as I said, I’m not a pro. My main goal is to declutter without throwing things away. Out of respect for my father, I don’t want to throw anything away, even though I’ve given a lot; but I can’t stand all these boxes cluttering up my office and the time I spend selling them. I can see that even on Vinted, some people haggle over my items to resell them three times as expensive later. Besides, the small cars are also on Le Bon Coin. On the other hand, I’m surprised to see that the most beautiful ones (from the Matchbox brand) aren’t selling.

It must perceive that you are selling a series of new items of the same nature, and that’s the parameter that creates the blockage. Note that if you put yourself in professional status, it wouldn’t change anything at this level, according to various messages we’ve read on Vint Aide, professionals have apparently suffered the same blockage.
I have 1600 ads of all kinds, I should have 10 ads for new items and I had the same problem. I think it’s just for one ad. I have to put ‹ like new › (TBE - très bon état) even when it’s new.
Okay, I need to modify this as well. The ban has just been lifted. I posted a new item but it’s taking a long time to be approved. Should I explain the little story behind the item to them so they understand I’m not pro? I’m trying with difficulty to appear as eclectic as possible, I who liked to be organized. « We are reviewing your listing to ensure it complies with our Catalog Rules. This review usually takes only a few hours, but can sometimes take a few days. » That’s promising…
It sometimes happens that you get the status « Under review » on an ad, especially when you are coming out of a restriction for commercial sales.
Your ad will therefore be checked to ensure that you are not breaking the rules again.
This takes between 1h and 72h (at least, that’s what I’ve noticed)
I dare hope you haven’t put the condition as « New with tags, » since you had just been restricted for selling too many new items.
You will receive a notification stating whether your ad is online or not!
My items have generally never been used (gifts or collection), so I used to list them as new without tags, but as they are quite old, it’s often the packaging that can be a bit worn, so I guess I should list them as very good condition?
I just had a brand new ad with a tag blocked for poor quality photos. Luckily I wasn’t banned, but I need to be more careful about what I repost on Vinted.
Personally, I would put Very good condition, which reflects the entirety of your item since you say they are old (collection) and there may be imperfections (especially for picky collectors)
Then, I would detail the exact condition of the item, meaning I would indicate the condition of the box (damaged corners, torn, etc… with photos showing the exact defects) and the toy (never unpacked, etc…)
In any case, do as you see fit, but I wouldn’t put such items on Vinted if I were you. (or expensive)
I would focus more on specialized platforms.
Yes, this check happens quite randomly, sometimes because of a title that is a bit problematic for the bots, or during « peak hours » (this weekend I had the case, but it was resolved in 30 minutes.)
Matchbox, yes, it’s harder to sell. Once I had picked up a box of Majorettes (placed in front of a recycling bin where I was picking up cardboard), everything sold within the day, and yet they weren’t necessarily in new condition, I was surprised.
Otherwise, if it’s really a constraint, why not consider reselling to a second-hand shop, or even a professional on Vinted? You’ll get much less, but it will all be gone at once.
Professionals are already contacting me on Vinted. Actually, I like operating like this; non-professionals can also contact me, and I’m happy when a grandpa buys a tank from me to give to his grandson, or a guy who offers the model of his car to his sweetheart for her birthday. I also have an account on Le Bon Coin which seems to be having problems since yesterday.
Indeed, there were display problems with the ads, but it has been resolved today 
A customer also contacted me because she could no longer find a dress she had favorited on LBC…
I directed her elsewhere and the deal was made.
There have been a few small bugs on LBC lately… fortunately, it doesn’t seem to be impacting sales.
