Hello, have you seen the new rules starting February 10th? Will there be a way to avoid being detected when using republications?
Prohibitions. When creating an Account or using the Site or Services, you agree not to:
use any type of external software tool (including, but not limited to, bots, scraping programs, crawling programs, spiders) when registering on the Site and/or using the Site and/or Services (including, but not limited to, for the purpose of promoting Items, adding Items to favorites), unless such use is authorized, offered, or otherwise permitted by us,
delete and re-add the same Item multiple times or multiple Items in bulk,
Hello!
The new version of Vinted’s Terms and Conditions remains unchanged regarding the use of any « external software »; they clearly prohibit it, just like in previous versions of the Terms and Conditions, including the current ones
As long as the new Terms and Conditions have not come into effect, the old Terms and Conditions are still available on the website (this is a legal requirement)
=> Termes et Conditions d'utilisation | Vinted
A quick search shows that the line already existed:
« - delete and re-add the same Item multiple times or several Items in bulk »
Hello
I haven’t fully read the new Terms and Conditions - too long to read
If they put up more barriers when we often sell at ridiculous prices, because many haggle down to a €1 sale - they shouldn’t overdo it (packages to carry sometimes by car + tape etc)
It should not be possible to haggle - either they accept the selling price, or they go their way - It feels like the Marrakech souk!
It will soon not be worth it anymore
If another site is created, it’s over for Vinted
There are historical dinosaurs like eBay, LBC, and Rakuten, more specialized ones like Etsy, Vestiaire Collective, attempts to copy Vinted with things like Beebs. Not to mention all the marketplaces (Amazon, Fnac, Leclerc, Cdiscount).
In short, there’s no shortage of options for selling, but Vinted is the current must-have (which I regret). I think what made it successful is that they immediately thought mobile-first, creating an easy interface designed for it, while others took their time to catch up. Plus some practical things like prepaid and cheaper shipping, and not charging sellers directly. I recognize the practical aspect of Vinted for individuals posting a few ads, but for professionals, it’s truly the worst interface (the proof being that we end up here paying for external modules to make life easier).
