New badge on Vinted: fast shipping

The badge is back! Another Vinted bug probably :zipper_mouth_face:

I still don’t have it and the tab for bundle discounts no longer appears

Does this exist for professionals?

I don’t have that impression, but perhaps I’m mistaken!

I am a professional but I don’t have a professional profile on Vinted, I preferred to keep my personal profile.

I didn’t get it even though I sent it the same day or the next day
Same for the badge, they respond quickly even though I am quite reactive…

Hello, I am not aware of this new Ā« fast shipping Ā» badge and if I ever see it, I’m not sure it will be visible. I rarely have the opportunity to ship packages within 24 hours (except with Colissimo).
The easiest way to inform our buyers is to state it in the listing or on the profile.
If the person who has the badge doesn’t ship within 24 hours, the buyer will be a little disappointed.
It could also encourage the buyer to send us a message to tell us that they want the package to be shipped within 24 hours.
For me, as a seller and buyer, this badge is not really useful.

Yes, totally! And sometimes even without the badge, there are these kinds of requests. When it’s asked nicely, no problem, when they harass us about it… that’s another thing

This badge no longer exists on my end. Perhaps the test was not conclusive?

Personally, I am not in favor of these badges. They would surely be more useful to professional sellers, but I don’t find them appropriate for individuals.

Indeed, as an individual, I have a professional activity on the side that takes up my time (and a family life, incidentally). During that time, I cannot manage Vinted sales; it’s not my job, so I can’t always respond quickly to buyers’ messages. I don’t always have my phone with me at work.

For the Ā« fast shipping Ā» badge, I also find it unfair to individuals. I’ll use my own case as an example again: I live in the countryside, I have to drive to drop off my packages. I can’t necessarily do it every day. Generally, I wait until I have a reason to go out. Outside of holidays, I drop them off when I go to work or come back, but on holidays, it’s every 3 days on average. Moreover, when I get home from work, I don’t always have the energy to prepare the package(s) for any orders of the day. Depending on the day, I might prepare them 2 days later.
Someone living in a big city has drop-off points nearby, which makes it easier.

This does not detract from the seriousness or respect I have for buyers. If Vinted initially agreed on a 5-day deadline and decided it could be extended now, it’s precisely because many users are not professionals.
We cannot have the same expectations for an individual as for a professional whose job it is and who will therefore dedicate part of their day to it.

I understand and it’s true that we lose the essence of the platform: selling between individuals

Vinted unfortunately has no vision, no guideline, it’s fumbling, it’s amateur, it claims to be open to professionals while almost nothing is planned for them, as if those who manage it didn’t know where they were going, and when you don’t know where you’re going, you end up taking the wrong road.
And as a professional, you can’t project yourself with this site, build a real business, it’s impossible, there’s no long-term vision other than that it will decline, and that’s already the case for many sellers. It does provide a launchpad, however, but you really need to look further for those who want to last or develop.

They should maybe have a Ā« human seller Ā» badge  because sorry but it bothers me to buy something and not get a thank you or to be told Ā« I’ll drop off the package in 3 days because I have a life too Ā»ā€¦ I live in the countryside, with small lockers that are often full, shops closed 2 days a week and sometimes early in the evening… so I do my best but there’s no question of me going out of my way Ā« just Ā» to drop off one or two packages!

It is clear that online sales are primarily suited to sellers who have easily accessible drop-off points, and therefore especially those who live in cities…

We were doing well with the Post Office, a single public service, which served the whole territory and at the same rate.
Long live liberalization!

Hello everyone, another thing to put people under pressure. From a low-cost and anti-waste concept, we find ourselves having to do fast delivery or people get angry because they have a vital need for the 2-euro t-shirt within the minute. I am totally against it. Not to mention the obstacle courses to find the drop-off points of all the carriers which are not in the same place. Vinted should be neither Amazon nor La Redoute. Sincerely

This badge fascinates me: I have no sales at the moment, so no items to send. Yet Vinted regularly changes the indication on the badge to push me to send faster… Provided there are sales

haha, and how it’s assigned, mystery, but it fits with how they operate, which I explained in another post.

Personally, I’ve never seen it, not even on other accounts.

Hello,

I closed my shop for 4 weeks this summer. I reopened it 2 weeks ago. I had a first sale last week. I dropped off the package the same day. No Ā« package dropped off quickly Ā» badge. A new sale yesterday morning, I dropped off the package last night (Locker is a 10-minute walk from my place, which helps) and immediately, the badge appeared.

I’m wondering: does the badge appear if you drop off the package within 24 hours of the sale or within 24 hours of printing the shipping label?

For those who have already had the badge, do you lose it as soon as you drop off a package after the famous 24 hours?

Thanks for your feedback!

Hello - I have the famous badge. Is it useful?? I don’t know. In my opinion, you have to have shipped a certain number of items quickly to get it and not just 1 or 2.

Indeed, I have often sent packages within 24 hours but I had never had this badge. And Vinted says they review the last 30 days every day… To be continued!
