Spring cleaning... in your Clemz.app backup! 🧹

Hello everyone!

Springtime often makes us want to… do a little cleaning!
This is the perfect opportunity to sort through your Clemz.app backup. :broom:

Duplicates can quickly accumulate, and if you don’t clean them up, the day you need to find an item (deleted by Vinted or even due to a ban :scream:), it can be VERY time-consuming.

Here’s what we suggest you do:
1) Make a complete backup of all your Vinted wardrobes on Clemz (See how here :right_arrow: šŸ“„ Sauver mes annonces - Clemz).
Be careful to choose the correct backup option regarding your photos! If you have modified photos in your wardrobe (added stickers, logos, frames, etc.), ensure they are not saved on Clemz.app instead of your original photos. :warning:

2) Contact us at bonjour@clemz.app and we will delete all items that have not been recently backed up: these are old duplicates!

3) Enjoy: you can relax knowing everything is now properly saved.

Ready to declutter? :flexed_biceps:t2:

PS: automatic synchronization between Vinted and Clemz.app will be available in the coming months to save time on this cleanup. However, we recommend starting it manually now… for all those items that have been Ā« lingering Ā» for a long time.

To help you process your duplicate listings on your Clemz backup, we’ve even created a tool that detects them automatically!

Take a look and see how many duplicates you currently have

Good evening, I’m currently in the process of editing cover photos for some listings. If I understand correctly, I should Ā« save the listings present on Vinted Ā» to have the updated photos on Clemz.

What about the modifications made to these listings before the new cover photo? With a new cover photo, do we restart a session as if no modification had ever taken place? As if it were a new item? (I don’t know if I’m expressing my request clearly, hahaha)

Thanks in advance

MƩlanie

Good evening MƩlanie,

Yes, that’s right, you need to save your new Vinted photos to let Clemz know about the changes and for him to save these new photos.

I am not sure I understand what you mean by

Does Vinted identify your items?

Hello Lucile,

Thank you for your response . For the second point, I’ll try to clarify my question

  • The item was on the floor, I’m putting it on a white background
  • I’ll save the dressing again on Clemsz so that the white background photo is the new base for this item
  • I had already re-posted and modified the item with the floor background before that (rotation modification)
  • With the new white background save, when I repost with rotation, will Vinted consider it as a first modification?

I might be overthinking this, haha, but better safe than sorry with Vinted.
MƩlanie

Hi Melanie,

Thank you, I understand better now!
So yes, Vinted will consider it a Ā« first modification Ā» in that case, but personally… I no longer modify my photos and it works without any
