"Sold/Deleted Items" filter on Clemz.app backup

Hello. A small suggestion for the « Articles » Dashboard.
We can filter by « sold » articles if, however, we have performed a backup with that status…

Wouldn’t it be possible to have a filter to sort the listings that no longer exist in our profile?
That it be detected after a backup.

Because I sort my articles in the dashboard from time to time. But there are many that are sold and have since been deleted from my Vinted, without the information appearing in the dashboard… so checking everything is quite long

Hello Floco!

For now, the Clemz.app backup and your Vinted closet do not update automatically: if you do not re-save your closet with the status of your item (sold, for example), it will not appear in your Clemz.app backup.

New features are planned on this subject in 2025 :zipper_mouth_face:

Yes, yes, I understood that, hence my question about a possible new update about it ^^ that if the article has been deleted, it should also be visible on Clemz (after a backup, obviously)

Looking forward to seeing the new updates!

Hello @Floco

Your request is very relevant and indeed, this is a feature I need to develop this year as the items are starting to pile up in the backups

But it’s not that simple and I’m working on another subject right now… So I suggest the following workaround to help you sort things out:

  • Go to the « My Wardrobe » tab of Clemz (the t-shirt)

  • Select « All my wardrobe » in the listings to target, then the action « Save listings »

  • Launch the save

  • A window will open asking you how to handle the case where a listing is already saved. First, choose « All targeted ones » then the option « Clemz.app => Keep already saved photos »

By launching a save of your entire wardrobe like this without replacing the photos, you will update your Clemz backup.

Now, items that are no longer on Vinted are easy to spot:

  1. Go to your Clemz backup (www.clemz.app/items)
  2. Sort your saved items by « Updated on » and set the sort in reverse order
  3. All items whose update date is not today’s date are, a priori, no longer in your Vinted wardrobe! You can delete them.

:warning: Be careful though!
Clemz can sometimes lose the link between an item saved on Clemz and an item on Vinted (read this to understand). And as a result, you might have:
a) on Clemz.app: The saved item with the original photos
b) on Vinted: The item republished with modified photos
with Clemz not knowing that it is actually the same item

If you delete all items on Clemz.app without checking, you might lose your original photos.
Tip: Put the original photos back in your wardrobe before launching the full save. Clemz can do it for you (read this)

For my part, I make a backup of the listing when sold

For my part, I never edit my photos. I have so many listings that when I republish, they are already 7 months old, so no worries on Vinted’s side

I did notice the update date, but sometimes I still have the item and ultimately no update :face_in_clouds:

And doing a backup every other day… It takes a long time

I’ll continue to do it manually for now, but it’s true that it’s sometimes a lot to sort through :face_with_spiral_eyes:
