Hi Clément,
Quick question for you.
When we save listings on Clemz, does it only save the photos?
And when we re-publish, it takes the text from Vinted.
Just wanted to know if I should also save the text descriptions on Clemz.
Thanks

Hello!
So indeed, when you republish, only the photos are retrieved from the backup. The rest is copied from Vinted.
However, I still advise you to regularly back up your closet to save the « other information » (description, title, colors, material, size, etc.) for each listing.
This way, if a photo is hidden, deleted, or if your account is banned, you will have an exact copy on Clemz. Ready to be resold!
To make the backup quick, choose the option (after launching the backup) « Keep photos already on Clemz.app ». This way there is no change of photos: we only save the rest! ![]()
Thank you very much.
I started saving (updating the backup) of my listings (description, not photos), I have over 1000.
By making a mistake, it stopped after 500 items. How can I ask Clemz to update the backup for the other 500 items and not start over from the beginning?
Thank you
Hello! If you know where Clemz stopped, you can make a new backup by selecting the ad number (the option « from number X to Number X »)
For example « Ad number 1 to ad number 500 » or conversely from 500 to 1000 ![]()
Thank you

Hello,
Wouldn’t it be possible for new listings (or those we have re-published) to be automatically saved?
That there would be a kind of automatic (and systematic) synchronization of listings.
Let me explain… (well, I’m trying
)
When we launch a re-publication, and we change one or more photos of the listing, or the Title, or the description, using the « Draft », it is not automatically saved.
If we launch the re-publication again on this listing (1 week later, for example), we find ourselves with the old listing saved, even though we had made modifications to the previous re-publication.
We therefore lose the modifications made (change of photo, description, etc…)
I do see that we have the option to select the listings to save again, but we have to think about it every time we re-publish.
So my question is ![]()
Wouldn’t it be possible in the improvements for the saving to be done automatically, for example, at the end of all re-publications? (overwriting the old re-published listing)
Any modifications to the listings would therefore be automatically taken into account.
thanks ![]()
@Clement
Hello Aco!
Changes are planned for the backup, but in a few months. It’s not possible to make an automatic backup overwriting the old listing, because some users modify their photos… and in that case, the changes stack up.
If I understand correctly, today you re-publish by putting it in « draft » first and then clicking on « add »?
The content of an ad (title, description, etc. - everything except photos) is saved with each republication. So, that’s already in place.
As for the photos, it’s not easy to know what to save because Clemz allows publishing modified photos. So, as Lucile said, if you save them automatically, you lose the original photos.
Besides, people modify their photos very little in theory! And when you change them, you just need to re-trigger a save on the item.
That happens to me, yes, when I want to modify before publishing.
So I use both ways to republish. (direct or draft)
« Direct » when I don’t want to modify anything
« Draft » when I want to modify one or more items
Oh no, not always, unless we save the new ad (the previous one), otherwise it keeps the old description and title (the second to last one). I got caught out ![]()
hence my question ![]()
By republishing « directly », ads were republished with old descriptions, even though I had modified them.
For the photos, actually, it’s not what bothers me per se, since if I want to change the photo, I use the « draft ».
What bothered me until now, (or rather, I got caught out
), is that when I had changed the title or description of an ad, it republished the old ad, so I lost the change.
Now, I save the republished or modified ads, this way I keep the changes ![]()
Thanks anyway… ![]()
I assure you 100% that this is impossible. Clemz does not even read the saved content of an ad in this part: it starts again from what is already on Vinted.
The only thing that is retrieved from the backup is the photos.
The only possibility is that you re-imported an ad from the backup. Then yes, the content comes from the backup
If this happens to you again, can you send us an email immediately? We will look into it in detail to understand what happened
No problem…
I will do that
When I start a backup, it also retrieves my sold items. Is it possible to ensure that sold items are not backed up?
Hello,
Some people want to save them. If this is not your case, you can:
OK, thank you for your answer
Okay, I get it now… my bad ![]()
It must be the re-imports from one dressing room to another!
Personally, I always delete the ads on dressing room 1 before putting them on dressing room 2
(for fear of having a similar ad detected).
So, when I re-publish (or rather publish to dressing room 2), I lose the modifications made to the ad (deleted) on dressing room 1!
Which is normal
…
Indeed, that explains it! A small backup before deleting on dressing room 1.. and the announcement will be complete on dressing room 2 ![]()
