Hello I dress in L in all the shops, but by chance on Vinted in the search section L Men, we find people who don’t sell the right sizes. Often L children’s, something I didn’t know about! Yes but it’s an L children’s! So what the hell is it doing in L men…? Or we find M, and sometimes even S size items with an L label. A bit like Amazon surprises from Chinese sellers. It’s unbearable! In general, they offer you a return at their expense, something that probably doesn’t happen often for that price! Afterwards, we’ll find the item in the shop window with the same size! Sometimes I accept the sale just to call them out in the comments and reviews! Isn’t there a T&C that states they shouldn’t rip us off? thanks!
Hello @AntoineG , and Welcome ![]()
Indeed, size L kids does exist, depending on the brands, and it does not correspond, of course, to size L adult, especially for men.
When you are looking for a size L for men, I would advise you to always check if there are measurements in the description of the listing.
These measurements, which are generally taken flat, will tell you if the item corresponds to the size you usually take.
Unfortunately, Vinted’s « Feed » is relatively poorly designed for precise item searches, and you may be offered items that do not correspond at all to the desired size, and sometimes not even items related to your search.
Not to mention sellers who deliberately do not choose the correct category.
Regarding your comment
Yes, of course, but Vinted’s « bots » would need to take a close interest in this kind of character rather than sometimes preventing serious people from working.
This is why we, those who take the time to provide all the necessary information, especially the correct size, can only encourage you to take the time to read the item description carefully.
If, due to omission or withholding of information, the answer to your questions is not there, do not hesitate to ask the seller before purchasing the item.
This will certainly save you surprises.
Have a very good day,
Hello - do not rely on sizes M L XL etc. An L in one brand will correspond to something else in another brand, so before buying you need to ask for measurements unless it’s a brand you know well.
I never trust sellers who don’t bother to take care of their listings.
I already received women’s jeans when I had ordered men’s jeans. I didn’t notice at the time, so I accepted them. When I realized, I spoke to the seller who told me: sorry… I made a mistake… so be very careful.
@AntoineG hi, international sizes (XS S…) are cut differently depending on the period, the brand, the place of manufacture. Most Vinted users are individuals. They have neither the knowledge nor the desire or time to detail or measure. Sometimes (often) they don’t even have a ruler at home.
« Lighting up » people just for fun might bring you comfort but you keep on « embouligue » your item and your loss of money.
Now that you have had all these bad experiences, drawing conclusions from them would be more positive for you… and your nerves
It could have been me
. I buy men’s or women’s jeans for myself. If you’re talking about Carhartt, I’m the culprit ![]()
I’ve learned from my mistakes. I put the measurements in photos now. ![]()

Approved!
I may have been that person who didn’t put sizes on things a long time ago. I was even the one who made mistakes with some prices and materials. Kind people pointed them out to me (for better or worse) and that allowed me to learn. I wasn’t there to mess things up.
