Dispute over a size when everything is indicated in the listing

Hello,

I am selling striped trousers for €5. A buyer asked me if they contained elastane, so I sent her the details (even though the composition and size were in the advertisement photo of the label). She then saw « spandex 6% » and I confirmed, « Yes, it contains elastane and it’s an XL. »

The buyer received the item but said it was too big and didn’t fit… I didn’t reply as everything had been checked before her purchase.

The next day, she opened a dispute for the wrong size and also brought up the material.

She selected « wrong size, » but the photo she attached to her request clearly shows the XL label. This is precisely the size indicated in my advertisement.

The photo she provided therefore confirms that the size of the trousers corresponds to the advertised size.

Similarly, she stated that the material is not elastane, even though this same photo shows 6% spandex, which is indeed elastane.

She had expressly asked me if it contained elastane, and I had sent her a photo of this same label before she purchased the item. She therefore bought it with full knowledge.

Today, I contested the dispute with support and replied in the conversation that the advertised size matches the size sent. I reminded her of our previous exchanges about the material and also indicated that the fact that the trousers don’t fit her is not a valid reason for a dispute. I also noted that she requested a refund without return… I am re-attaching screenshots of our exchanges and the photo of the size.

I hope Vinted will rule in my favor. But when you deal with this kind of person, you feel helpless as a private seller on Vinted.

Hello,
I’ve already had this situation and Vinted ruled in my favor, because the label clearly showed the announced size and was clearly visible in the listing photos (And I had also indicated the measurements in the listing).
If we take the time to describe the item, take measurements, photos of the size and composition labels, etc., we cannot also be held responsible if the item doesn’t fit the buyer…

And all this for €5?
You can just tell her she can return it.
She will pay for the returns (which will be 75% of the purchase price)
And she will spend money for nothing… (good for her G…) not to mention the time she will waste going to the drop-off point.
All this for a €5 pair of trousers… Honestly.

Those who buy for less than €15 and ask questions are often the most annoying.

Already, when they start asking you questions when the answer is in the description… you understand everything, « you’ve got an annoying one » … with chances that she won’t be satisfied after receiving it… (the proof)
Personally, I try as much as possible to skip this kind of individual…
Item for less than €15 - they ask a question that is in the photos or the description (Total Skip!)

Wise and informed advice. And we write: Non-negotiable. Another good reason not to answer. After a while, people adjust on their own, except for a few stubborn ones.

Yes, and even without mentioning price, those who ask questions when the answer is in the description and sometimes also in the photos, often do not buy.

Yes, indeed, these are the cases we can encounter on Vinted, which we don’t necessarily encounter on other platforms.
Well, that’s a personal observation.
Another oddity of visiting this platform.. People ask questions, the answers to which are often in the description or photos, they even make offers sometimes, then total disappearance.
The little green men have been here…

It’s the Instagram syndrome. A single photo and scrolling. Moreover, reading is a problem for many people… But they know how to count. I think the Vinted homepage works like this: click photo 1 like photo 1 open photo 1 directly on the make an offer button. You pull first, you discuss maybe later. As it’s addictive, it generates brainless and hypnotic behaviors. A lady wrote to me yesterday: « I’m addicted »
