Unclaimed return package by the seller

Hello, I bought a pair of overalls size 40 a few weeks ago.
I received the said overalls very late already, but we’ll let that go. The overalls have a label indicating a size 38 and obviously I can’t fit into them…

I contacted the seller with photos. She quibbled, telling me that she could fit into them… okay, but I can’t!
She asked me to send the overalls back to her. I paid for shipping again and did as she asked. The seller is in Spain. It took a while, but it arrived at a pickup point.

The seller did not collect the package. I thought she was doing this to make me wait a bit. I sent her two messages like « your package is waiting for you at the pickup point »… polite, courteous.
And then tonight I noticed that the package is being sent back to me because it wasn’t collected…

I contacted Vinted, who asked me to contact the seller to find a solution and request a refund.
I did as they asked again, but the seller is ignoring me…

Vinted asked me to wait two days and they would contact me again… do you think I will be refunded? If so, when?
I took screenshots of the conversation thread.

Should I go and collect this return when it arrives?

Should I do anything else, take any other precautions?

Thank you for your advice as this is the first time I have returned an item and this has happened to me, I am completely lost.

Did you open a dispute for a non-conforming item or did you settle it between yourselves?

Hello. Yes, I had opened a dispute with a photo of the label showing the actual size of the item and returned the order due to non-compliance with the details indicated in the listing via Vinted.
In the discussion, the seller expressly asked me to send the item back, which I did.

The refund may take some time, but Vinted tends to rule in favor of the buyer if you have proof.

what is not normal is that you had to pay for the return, especially since it is cheaper if the seller provides the return label (2.40€ from memory)
