Lavender or lavandin to protect clothes?

Hello everyone,

A quick question out of curiosity: do any of you use lavender or lavandin in your wardrobes, walk-in closets, or storage boxes for clothes?

I’ve always heard about lavender against moths, but recently I discovered that lavandin seemed to be even more effective for protecting textiles and that its scent lasted much longer.

I didn’t even know the difference between the two before stumbling upon this article:

So I’m curious to hear your feedback. What do you use at home to protect your clothes? Lavender, lavandin, cedar, something else?

Have you noticed a real difference against moths or for keeping a pleasant scent in your closets?

Hi @sushiwazabi

My wife does indeed use lavender to protect (according to her :joy:) and perfume.
She puts it in closed cupboards, and as a result, I didn’t have a choice (as often happens with women hehehe :joy:) she put some on my shelves (stock).
She puts the lavender in perforated sachets.

Personally, I don’t see the difference, but if you listen to « My sweet », it’s absolutely necessary, so I obey without saying a word and at attention :joy: :joy: :joy:

I must say that we are lucky to have quite a bit in the garden (lavender), so we make the most of it.

you want clicks on your article? hahaha

Same here, I use lavender in the drawers, and when the scent fades, I open the sachet and vacuum it up

My mother always used to put lavender in the cupboards, it would last for ages afterwards :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Good luck to friptadium with their new project  (they were very inspiring on this forum)
