Seller's insults

Hello,

A seller sent me an item in very bad condition (the elastic bands were completely stretched out). I am requesting a return and paying for it myself because she refuses to pay or share the return cost.

She is very aggressive, bad-mouthing me by calling me a thief, etc.
But above all, she insults and threatens me. She does this in Arabic, which I understand.
I reported it to Vinted, who told me there was no problem.
So, do we have the right to insult or threaten a Vinted member as long as it’s not in a language used by Vinted? It is, however, easy to check with an online translation.
I am quite shocked.
What do you think?

Hello!
Unfortunately, disrespect is everywhere… It is indeed not normal for Vinted not to take measures to prevent such behaviors, which are contrary to the GTC.

Vinted doesn’t react to insults? Surprising because even their bots should spot that…
I think you need to report it again, it must be a mistake.

They don’t care.
Even when you report, they reply that they will intervene and then on the aggressor’s page nothing, no blocking, everything is fine. They must just get an automatic message telling them it’s not good.
On the other hand, the slightest fake report from a seller results in an immediate account restriction for several days.

Hello
For Vinted, an insult is a « swear word Â», ultimately an offense… and as long as there is no death threat, everything is fine :exploding_head: so if you are in this situation, write them an email directly, with a screenshot of the translation and you can also report the profile in parallel… short, clear and direct sentences are needed.

My experience: a long time ago, I reported an Italian seller to Vinted who had just written to me (in Italian) to « stop breaking my balls Â» (I was asking for measurements).
Vinted temporarily blocked her.

I guess it’s because of a foreign language and characters. But still. Since I’m in dispute with her, I can’t even block her!

What email should I write to them?
I don’t even know if I would dare to post the screenshot of the translations.

You have to dare, @ukula, it’s not acceptable to be insulted and mistreated like that for… a piece of clothing :grimacing:
You can send an email to legal@vinted.fr with screenshots of the messages + the translation.
Have a nice day

Yes, dare to do it because it’s the only way to prove your accusation. These acts of incivility must be punished.

And for the email, it’s the address given by @Sev

No, you should not report the Vintie by email, but go into your conversation, click on i in the top right corner > « Report Â» > « Insulting/inappropriate message Â».
