I usually read but don’t post much, but I’m currently in a very complicated situation.
My Vinted account was blocked last night for 7 days. It’s a relatively large professional account (almost 2000 5-star reviews), on which I generate significant sales, mainly in the collectible figurines category (I had over a thousand listed at the time of the block), as well as a few pairs of shoes.
In total, the account has about 1100 items, almost all of which are listed as « very good condition » or « good condition, » never « new » (except for about ten pairs of shoes, which are not affected by the problem).
I received a notification stating that the block was related to certain commercial listings subject to restrictions. According to the message, 25 figurine listings are concerned, but all my publications follow the same logic: same description format, same type of photos, same category selected, etc. I should mention that these listings were re-published yesterday with Clemz, but as I do every day.
I’m really in a big mess. This activity represents my main income, and being blocked for 7 days with no possibility to act. I’m therefore trying to understand what triggered this block, so I can correct what’s necessary, prevent it from happening again, and ideally, reduce the duration of the penalty.
Do you have any advice or leads for me?
I’ve already dealt with Vinted support for other issues and I know how poor it is; do you have anyone to contact?

Did the disputed figurines represent female characters in revealing clothing? If so, that’s the problem, as Vinted’s terms and conditions prohibit pornography. If that’s the case, Vinted moderation will rule against you.
This is probably a good opportunity to take a week’s vacation…
Hello, I’m in a similar situation to you and it happened to me last year too. Unfortunately, it’s never very clear (accusing professionals of commercial sales, that’s the logic) and there’s not much you can do.
What you should have done was delete the listings posted by Vinted, do nothing for the 14-day period, and then relist them little by little.

Vinted seeks to avoid becoming another Amazon/Wish/Alibaba and absolutely wants to preserve its image as a second-hand platform.
If you primarily sell new or nearly new items, I think they might block you: we’ve received several reports to that effect.
I don’t know if this is what caused the issue in your case, but it’s a possibility: avoid overstating that your items are new or nearly new, whether in the description or in the « item condition » field.
It’s a possibility. But what’s the point of being a professional seller in these cases.
I think if we sell a bit too much, the big accounts are banned, I have a lot of feedback in that direction.
That’s exactly right. I was doing great business when I had my professional shop, and they closed it down. Now, as a private individual, there are no problems except for the collapse of my sales.

Good evening. I was never able to recover it. And so I created a personal account. It comes down to the same thing because I declare it in the end. I have put far fewer items. On the other hand, the site has had a huge problem for 10 days now, I think views, sales, etc…
I’m currently putting my listings in very good condition to avoid being blocked, the few new ones I have are not affected.
What bothers me most is not really knowing the cause of the deletions.
If I get a permanent ban, it would be really complicated.
Do we know what data Vinted’s bot has access to? Does it read item descriptions? Our messages?
I had already been blocked because I sent external links, something I have since stopped, but here nothing is different from previous months/years in terms of item listings.
Yes, I had just opened my pro account and made the mistake of listing new items first, even though I had a lot of used items to list as well. Well, I reversed it by posting hundreds of used items, and since then I haven’t had any issues, even with listing a lot of new items. I even received reports for it, but Vinted didn’t do anything.
What’s quite funny, though, is that Vinted told me to open a pro account to sell new items (no problem with that, I’ve had my micro-business since 2009) and as soon as I did, bam, a 14-day suspension.
I haven’t had any major issues since then. Just a few account restrictions removed within 24 hours. I can even post new content without being worried so far. But I know it can change overnight.
