Supplier for growth

Good evening everyone, I’m taking the plunge into going professional (not much choice as sales are increasing and I’m passionate about this sales method). I had a question: how do you find good suppliers that match my profile (niche, if I understand correctly ).

Sorry, I’m still a novice but I’d really like to be able to earn a good income. I do scour flea markets, second-hand shops, charity shops, etc., but I’d like to aim higher.

Thank you in advance,
Anne

Hello Anne,

I see no one has responded to your request, so I will try to do so briefly.

You are a professional salesperson and you sell products: if you sell various products of all kinds and all brands, you are multi-product. A niche can be a product category (like jeans only), products from a single brand (like Levi’s jeans only), or products specific to a category and brand (like Levi’s 501 jeans only).

To find products, you have several solutions: your own (flea markets, garage sales, recycling centers, etc.), sourcing during sales, Vinted itself, resellers, and wholesalers.

On Vinted, you can find products that interest you at low prices (because people want to get rid of them, because they don’t know the true value of the product, etc.) that you will buy to resell at higher prices (because you know the true value of the product and therefore you put it back at market price). Either you do it manually with Vinted filters and it’s free, or you do it via Vinted bots (you set what you want to buy and the maximum prices you want to pay for them, and the bot gives you a list of your searches, which you buy or not depending on the item’s photos… but you already have a large pre-selection done).

For resellers or wholesalers, I cannot give you names, but if you really want to do this and go all in, I advise you to get trained beforehand. Buying from a wholesaler is an investment (€300 to €700) that you must make profitable (x2, x3 or more). Buying from a wholesaler means buying a bale or a lot of items in various conditions. You will necessarily need, and mainly, Grade A items (generally you will have 80% Grade A and 20% Grade B): Grade A items will be in good condition, Grade B items in less good condition (holes, stains, etc.). The quality and value of the products will determine whether you make money or not on your purchase (if you sell them, of course).

Regarding training, search for « formation Vinted » on Google, and you will find several. Obviously, it’s not free, but this is also an investment that will save you time and improve your skills. It’s not a 100% guarantee of success, but if you want to professionalize and fully invest in Vinted resale, it’s the minimum to do, I believe.

That’s what I could tell you on the subject, hoping it has helped you a little.

Hello, it depends, I advise you to turn to local suppliers, it will allow you to negotiate prices even more.

For example, I found this workshop near my home: MUG Personnalisé
They personalize the ceramics for me very cheaply and I manage to make good margins.
