NEED OPINION+ HELP account blocked for 24H due to republication

Hello everyone,

I need your help and advice regarding Clemz and Vinted.

I was away from Vinted for about two to three months for personal and health reasons. I returned at the beginning of September and therefore reactivated my Clemz subscription for €15.

Since my return, I have only re-uploaded 51 items out of about 1,000 using the Clemz app.

About two weeks ago, while re-uploading one of my items with Clemz, there was a bug: the item couldn’t be published. So I canceled the operation and tried again.

It was at that point that I received a warning from Vinted stating that they had detected « automated activity » on my account, contrary to their terms and conditions. They specifically mentioned that the use of third-party tools, scripts, or other external software was prohibited.

My account was then restricted for 24 hours. After these 24 hours, it was unblocked, but Vinted warned me that if any further detection occurred, my account could be blocked for up to 30 days, or even permanently.

Since this warning, I haven’t dared to use Clemz’s re-upload function. In fact, I haven’t re-uploaded anything since.

The problem is that I had specifically renewed my subscription for €15 mainly for this feature. For health reasons and lack of time, I am not currently posting new listings. My main goal was to gradually re-upload my old items after my two to three months of absence.

So I find myself with a paid subscription that I hardly dare to use, for fear of losing my Vinted account, when I’ve only had time to re-upload 51 items out of about 1,000.

On top of that, I haven’t made any sales this month. So I paid €15 for a subscription that I ended up using very little and which, for the moment, has brought me nothing.

I would therefore like to know how you manage your situation.

Have other people recently received the same warning from Vinted when using Clemz?

Has Clemz found or proposed a solution since Vinted’s changes?

Can we still use the re-upload function without risking another restriction?

Is there another way to re-upload with Clemz that is safer today?

And most importantly, is it still worth keeping the Clemz subscription if the re-upload function can no longer be used?

I’m really wondering what the current situation is, because after only a few days back, receiving this warning directly has frankly put me off.

Is it just a one-off problem I encountered due to the bug, or has it become common with Clemz?

Has Clemz communicated anything about this or is it currently offering an alternative?

I’m even wondering if, in the end, this isn’t simply the end of Clemz if the main functions now risk causing restrictions or a block on Vinted.

And regarding my current subscription, given that I have hardly used it, that I have only re-uploaded 51 items out of about 1,000, and that I have made no sales this month, can Clemz offer a commercial gesture?

For example, is a refund of €15 possible, or perhaps a free month of subscription later if a solution is found? I am obviously open to another proposal, but I would like to know what can be expected in this type of situation.

Thank you very much to all those who can share their experience or tell me what Clemz currently recommends. Your feedback will really help me know what to do with my subscription and especially avoid risking the permanent blocking of my Vinted account.

Hello, I’m interested too but I don’t have access to the link sent by Faune. I am one of the accounts that suffered a restriction in July (5x24H) and I’m wondering if I can now resume my subscription to republish without risking a new ban!

Voila

yes, so I saw that… but the last updates are old now so I wanted some fresh news, and I’m not going to get a subscription just to read the forum :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello Lelalu, to summarize: since July 21, Vinted has been targeting private accounts (professionals seem to be left alone, although visibility for me is close to zero) by accusing them of « automation » of the account. The 24-hour restrictions are piling up, making republication almost (but not totally) impossible and the use of the account difficult. We’ve tried everything. Clément is doing everything he can, but for me, it hasn’t helped much. I did a real detox for several weeks, and as soon as I republished for 2 days in a row (5 listings, no more), on the second day I was restricted. We are at the stage of suppositions (1/2 days) now. The situation is general, not just on clemz. You can write to them at their contact email. I think we are all very upset about this situation, but they are too.

thank you very much for your answer! that’s exactly what I wanted to know, well I’ll stay patient then, hoping that Clement finds a solution to get past this new detection algorithm. thanks again for your answer and have a good Sunday

Well there you go! Hypathie just ruined my new business

It’s a good summary, though. In fact, it seems Vinted has put at least a brake on publishing or republishing, specifically to prevent the development of professional-level listing volume on private accounts.

So the 24h restrictions for « automated activity » still exist but they can be reduced by

  1. Using Clemz’s new options
  2. Globally decreasing your republication volume each month

For the moment, no bans have been observed and therefore republishing, despite the risk of a restriction, remains a good strategy rather than doing nothing.
