Vinted Pro review and tips

Hello, I’m considering switching to Vinted Pro. I’d like to hear from people who are already using the Pro version. Is it worthwhile or a hassle? How many sales per day are needed to be profitable, and what’s the profit margin per sale? … In short, your opinion and perhaps some advice :slightly_smiling_face::wink:

Thank you all

Have a good day

The issue isn’t really framed that way. Not being a professional is always more interesting because you don’t pay taxes on your activity.
The problem is that when the practice of buying and reselling becomes habitual, you become a professional according to the law. So if you don’t register, you risk both a tax assessment and legal proceedings by URSSAF for undeclared work.

Since platforms are required to report sales to the tax authorities above a certain threshold, it becomes impossible to commit fraud by selling online.

So the choice you have is either to settle for a very small activity or to turn professional.

Once again, the problem is not posed like that.
The only difference from what you are currently doing is that you will pay 12.3% of your turnover to URSSAF. You sold for €1000, and you will declare it to URSSAF, which will ask you to pay €123.

Since you are already engaged in buying and selling in an non-habitual manner, as an amateur, you can see what it would leave you if you went professional, whether it is profitable or not for you.

And then I would add… Definitely don’t complain that the fees are expensive or that it’s not normal for you to pay taxes…

Not only are there public services that you use every day, which are funded (in part) by these fees, but in addition, it’s much lower than the fees deducted from your salary when you are an employee.

So, I’m not even talking about when you have to pay employee fees… when you’re the boss… it’s worse!

In any case @Luce
Also realize that you were allowed to sell « under the table » for a while, but at some point you have to choose to continue within the rules or stop.
And that’s without counting the risk of getting caught…
When that happens, they go back years… and that can hurt your « ass » much more than fees.

Do your calculations carefully, take your time…
And you will make your decision

Honestly, I don’t feel like I’ve been doing « under the table » work.

I’m not someone who wants to cheat or anything like that…

It’s true that lately, I’ve made a bit more sales. But when I compare myself to some, I’m a small player! :slightly_smiling_face:

In any case, thank you for your feedback

The state considers commercial sales to be a professional practice when they become habitual, without further clarification.

What we do know is that platforms are required to declare figures to the state starting from 30 sales or more, OR €2,000 in revenue or more (DAC7 directive).

This does not mean that if, in one year, you made 50 sales and €4,000, you will be prosecuted for undeclared activity, but it does mean that the administration knows what you are doing from these figures.

So I completely agree that it should be declared to the state.

What I find unfortunate is having Vinted block your account without proof, just on suspicion…

As you say, you can make €4,000 in sales in one year and only €1,000 the following year.
