Rejected ads: help me understand!

I think we’ve all had listings rejected by Vinted without understanding why.
I suggest we post them here so that together, we can try to understand what’s wrong.

Here is mine: rejected for « misleading or incorrect information ».

?? could be your # or the status you provided

Sometimes, it’s their mistake.
It has happened to me several times that I asked why to better understand their decision and sometimes they reconsider and reactivate it for you

Yes, I would also bet on # that Vinted’s robot finds misleading… but potentially it’s wrong!!

What’s wrong with my #? They all seem correct to me.

You put stiletto in the ad and kitten in #, maybe that?

Does that seem contradictory to you? They are pumps with kitten heels…
I’m frankly perplexed by this announcement. For others, I can better guess the reason for the refusal, but this one…

Make an appeal, they will explain to you

I’ve tried, I only got canned responses.

I would tend to repost by removing the hashtag that seems most « risky » and if it goes through… you have your culprit!

But again, I confirm that Vinted’s verification bots make many mistakes!

Mine… is long for nothing, but if you decide to read it to learn more, grab a drink, some popcorn, and make yourself comfortable:

This lunchtime, when I clicked the button to publish a new item for sale, an error message appeared, informing me of a problem uploading a photo. The page displayed is still the one to fill out for selling. Everything is filled out as it should be. Since I had added the last photo after the initial series, I concluded that it was causing a problem, that I had to remove it and try to add it again, which I did. Then, I clicked the button to publish, it spun, and I was relieved to see the publication notification with the title of my ad appear, but the photo added last was now at the top , to my great astonishment.

You know the drill: to close the window of this notification that offers me to publish a new item, I click on « later » to immediately go and check my closet and the new item for sale.

Stupefaction! The system published it twice, even though I had not been notified of a first publication. The most recent one is displayed with the mention « processing, » which prevents me from deleting it to correct this mess.

And suddenly, I receive a message from Vinted accusing me of having published 2 ads for the same item, that they have deleted the 2nd one and are letting me know that since I did not respect their rule, etc., threatening to ban me in case of recurrence

I open a dispute because it’s the only way to interact, and I explain my technical problem to them, so they can investigate and understand that I am not to blame.

Vinted’s response: they are sorry I had a problem, but after checking, it seems I published the same item once separately and once in a bundle, which is forbidden.

My face upon reading this response = wtf = :face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

They end with a reminder of the penalty in case of recurrence and what I interpret as a farewell since it is now impossible for me to tell them that they are wrong and are digging themselves in even deeper. They are using a version of fast-reply…
After several years of using V, as a buyer and seller, this is the first time I have encountered this technical bug and its pathetic follow-up… But I’ll go back because I have other items to sell
