I’m having trouble with Vinted right now. My listings are being deleted for no apparent reason, even though they used to go through perfectly. I post them, and they disappear almost instantly.
Vinted justifies these deletions by citing catalog rules (non-compliant photos, duplicates, etc.), but often my listings comply with everything.
I’ve already written to support, but I’m at the end of my patience. I had two appeals rejected for a listing that wasn’t even online. I was able to get one listing back online by explaining my dissatisfaction with the bots.
I wanted to know: is this affecting any of you too? And above all, have you found any tricks to get around this problem and avoid having your listings systematically blocked?
often?
photo taken from the net?
denunciation?
identification by « forbidden » image bots? like fur in a pouch for example.
multiple listings with the same photo but different size = duplicate?
Thank you for all your feedback.
I contact them directly via the link in the message I receive. Sometimes I manage to get my way, but I don’t know if it’s because of reports or simply because the bots don’t like Clemz’s reposts…
But hey, it’s annoying, and I’d really like to avoid my Vinted account being blocked.
Hello
To avoid blocking… Respect the deletions without insisting…
I don’t have clem… However, you can try to republish your ads little by little manually… By cropping your photos, by retouching them a little… It works
Since February, there’s been no point in editing photos.
However, be very careful not to use photos from the web.
Be careful to put your listings first on Vinted, for the reason above they might consider it comes from the web (especially with Le Bon Coin, which puts its name on photos)
And also be sure to delete the original listing before republishing.
Let’s say I have an account, but well, I don’t really take care of it. When I have a little time (which is rare) I add listings, but well, for what I sell I have trouble motivating myself (only the Christmas period is worth it).
There are many complaints about Vinted, but it’s on Leboncoin that I’m seeing the most spectacular decline. For some unexplained reason, transactions have become almost nil, except for the last weekend with reduced shipping costs. However, when I launch a search from a third-party account, my listings appear correctly. Big mystery.
Even with the weekend at 99 cents, I didn’t sell much. Whereas last year, some Sundays could bring in €500. In my opinion, this is in parallel with what I pointed out in another message: people are disengaging. LBC only sells in France, Beebs too, I don’t do anything there anymore, whereas I used to make €500/600 per month last year (always good to take since there’s nothing to do with importing ads). I almost exclusively sell on Vinted and eBay now, and largely to foreigners.
I realized, too late, a limit to the €0.99 shipping offer on leboncoin last weekend.
This only concerned the « Relais Colis » carrier.
However, this carrier has only been on leboncoin since last autumn. Older listings do not include it in the shipping options (it has to be done manually, listing by listing).
Thus, in my listings, less than half were eligible. And moreover, I sold 50% less than during previous weekends with reduced shipping costs. It was during these weekends that lots of old stuff sold.
Hello!
Thank you for these informative exchanges. I’ll take the liberty of reframing the discussion because the initial topic wasn’t this, but rather the repeated deletion of certain listings on Vinted.
Feel free to make a post on the forum in the « Miscellaneous » category!
Thank you for your understanding
Hello - don’t regret anything. Relais Colis is not reliable. I shipped 2 packages. The 1st took 15 days to arrive, the 2nd has still not arrived and the information has been blocked for several days, moreover they are redirecting the package to another relay point. It’s not a big deal for me, but for a few euros, I don’t know if the buyer will bother to come. I no longer offer Relais Colis except on request. Mondial Relay works better. Rarely any issues.
Personally, I send a four-digit number of packages per year, and Relais Colis is the one with the fewest problematic issues. Even if it’s not the most requested carrier, I must have sent 200/300 packages with them per year, and since I’ve known them, I’ve only had one package that caused a problem, it disappeared, but otherwise, I’ve never had any returns or damaged packages.
Crazy, still today, two returns from Relais Colis. One package very damaged, I’ll see if insurance can help. And one package corresponding to a sale received and paid for, so a clear error somewhere (but I’ll remain discreet as long as no one complains).
