Improve automated messages 📨 => your suggestions?

Dear Clemz users,

I will soon be improving the automatic messages :incoming_envelope: feature on received favorites with the following changes:

  1. Speed up reading of messages and favorites
The feature is quite slow today. I have several ideas to make it faster and therefore more pleasant to use

  2. Do not restart from scratch in case of interruption
Today, if the initial reading crashes, we have to restart everything from scratch. I will allow you to simply resume where you left off

  3. Mark as read messages sent by Clemz
No longer leave these messages as « unread »

  4. Various « technical » improvements that will be invisible to you but will make sending messages more reliable

:ballot_box_with_ballot:
But perhaps you have ideas for improvements that would be relevant?
What improvements would you like to see on this feature :red_question_mark:

:warning: To read before anything else :warning:
=> Proposing an improvement does not mean it will be implemented
Indeed, I have to balance the feasibility of each idea, its relevance for Clemz, but also the time I have available to implement it. As I am alone, I cannot do everything!

 Please keep in mind that I will do my best, but your idea might not be chosen.
Thank you

As requested / proposed on other posts, that we can choose the delay between the favorite received and sending a message to the interested seller

Maybe also be able to vary messages according to liked items, I do that according to clothes or other

For the moment, not many other ideas because I don’t have the subscription that allows these messages :grin:

I thought I would limit messages to 15 at a time.
I have a problem that maybe only I am experiencing.
I can only see the last 20 messages on Kiwi. If someone asks me a question at the same time I send messages, for example 25, then I won’t see their message on Vinted.
I will only get the notification by email. And even after contacting the person, none of them replied to the original message to escalate it (they must have wondered why I was asking that ).
Anyway, I’ve lost bundle requests and other sales like that.

As I’m writing this, I’m thinking that maybe it’s more up to me to send messages more often so that it doesn’t reach 20

Could you create a topic in the « Vinted Problem » category describing your display bug on Kiwi Browser to see if other people are experiencing the same issue?

I have a proposal from my side:
Would it be possible to paste a block of usernames to ignore messages to favorites?
Currently, you have to enter them one by one and put a space after each of them.
Most auto-completes handle this natively.
Use case: clear everything, take the auto-populated list, paste.
Thank you

I just added this in the update released just now (version 1.15.7)

Thank you very much Clément, I’ll look into it today.

Have a very good day.

Hello, does this really have an impact on your sales?
I send manual messages to favorites, but they are not the ones who buy the most. It’s more direct purchasing.
And for you?

Hello,
Yes! Some people dare to ask questions and this often leads to a purchase. (Not the people asking for measurements, mind you :grimacing:)

I have a whole segment of Clemz users who only do that and don’t re-list (especially the big closets and PROs).

Yes, those who post a message directly following a favorite and not in response to mine

We’re not playing in the same league :joy::joy::joy:

no no, following up on one of my messages after they favorited it

Yes, the messages and the mini-discount help. 75% of my sales happen after this message.
It also shows that we are active on Vinted and that we offer to be helpful (in my message, I tell them they can ask me questions if needed).

And the fact of being responsive makes people think we will send the package quickly

Personally, as a buyer, I favorite items, and if there’s no message from the seller, I don’t buy :frowning:
