Hello everyone, a short thread to review the past year.
I’ll start:
Sales volume: +15%. Average price: +0% (identical to two decimal places). This results in Revenue +15%
Profits: +10%. The difference in evolution between revenue and profits is mainly explained by the end of ACRE, and therefore by social security contributions increasing from about 6% to about 12% of revenue.
I had the ambition to double the volume of activity, which would allow me to live off it. I am very far from that.
As I am multi-platform, I see a significant evolution. Here in terms of sales volume:
So a major increase on Vinted compared to the other two platforms, an increase however moderated by the price effect: the average price is significantly lower on Vinted than on LBC.
The figures also show that it is not, for me, worthwhile to abandon one of the three platforms. On the other hand, I have given up on all secondary sites that generate almost no transactions (Discogs, Book Village, eBay, Biblo etc.).
Having built up a large wardrobe allows me to have a minimum daily turnover, particularly thanks to re-listing, even without massive daily acquisitions.
To be confirmed over the first three quarters of 2026, but the start seems rather promising. For now, I remain confident.
Interesting to see the differences in each sector. You for books, or clothes, me for figurines/toys.
For my part, I only use 2 platforms: Vinted and Leboncoin. I tried Ebay, Beebs, with no results!
Like every year since 2023, I made 90% of my turnover on Vinted, the remaining 10% on Leboncoin.
This year, I am at 81% on Vinted and 19% on Leboncoin. The year 2025 was catastrophic. Compared to 2024, my turnover for one year (2025) is equivalent to that of the 6 months of 2023! Nevertheless, I will test new ideas, review my investments, and try other sales platforms.
I haven’t even started looking at it because 2025 has been so complicated. It had started off well, though. But since the end of summer, it’s been a nightmare. But much better since mid-November, hoping that a more positive dynamic has been set in motion. But it’s clear that I know in advance that I’m going to have a downturn in 2025.
@sushiwazabi Thanks for the snapshot, that must put you at the top of the platform’s sellers. What explains the jump in your activity between the first and second quarters?
If it’s not too intrusive, can you give an idea of the margin (before or after social security contributions)?
My average basket is €27 over the year, and the average purchase price is €5, only from flea markets.
Between taxes and URSSAF, out of €73,000, I had to give about €15,000 to the state and also €15,000 for purchases.
So about €40,000 - €45,000 net profit.
Photo quality, folding and ironing, background, and by republishing the ads every day, making bundles, canceling by mutual agreement, and using the republish option which puts items back at the top of search results.
Hello, I find this report (your screenshot) interesting, but I don’t know where to find it in the Vinted app. If you could tell me how to get there, that would be great.
For your information, I am not a professional seller (this might explain why I can’t see it).
