personally, it’s not starting too badly, good days since last Friday. A small encouraging thing, it’s the clientele that had somewhat disappeared in recent months that is returning (basically collectors)
My sales are still at a high level, the slump is expected in the second half of the month.
Thanks to the indicator on Clemz’s discount level, I am more disciplined in commercial negotiations, which should lead to an increase in the average price. The good volume means I give up without regret on deals with overly aggressive buyers, even if they involve large quantities.
How often do you repost?
About 50 ads per day.
when I have time ![]()
No, it’s mostly that I have a titanic job of redoing my photos, so I let the Christmas rush pass. Now I’m going to focus a few days on the sales, and then I’ll get back to it.
It started strong and since the beginning of the sales, a big drop -50% and the return of abusive offers on top of that, does that impact your sales?
Yes, it’s a bit the same on my end, although I’m in collectibles, so I think it’s a bit different. But it requires a bit more sales force and aggressiveness. You’ll have to hang in there until early February.
Yes, it all depends on what we sell on Vinted too. I sell clothes, but on eBay, it’s antiques/vintage items, more of a retired clientele, so sales periods, Christmas have never really impacted me, unlike Vinted where it’s all over the place ![]()
The first 10 days of January are holding
yes, systematically, for several reasons.
First, people are focused on sales, so less on Vinted. Then, products I have can be found on sale elsewhere, so I become less competitive (I really like those who come to tell me in the messaging). And then I buy during sales, but I’m not alone, so often I have a latency period before I can sell my sale items because many individuals sell them off cheaply to get rid of them quickly. When I buy things, most of the time the price on Vinted drops quite a bit in the following 2-3 days and then goes back to the normal price a little later.
On the one hand, it suits me a bit because I can’t be everywhere, so between the days spent collecting products, organizing them, taking photos, making listings, etc… it’s fine with me if things calm down a bit.
Confirmed on my end, sales have calmed down since the day before yesterday.
Here too, a noticeable drop since Tuesday this week. But it was the high level preceding it that was the anomaly.
Return of the zombie army -40%, with a new extreme variant: If you accept the -40%, they make you a new offer with -40% on the price at -40%!!!
Ah yes, big dogs to do that. The ultimate vice, thinking you’ll forget the exact price. Always click on your ad to check the price before accepting offers already accepted on offers. He waits a few weeks and boom, he tries again. I imagine it must work once out of 100… That’s what people who do that look like…
The worst: not even a « Hello » or a « Please »…
Social media has made people so rude and awful… Every time, I restrain myself from being hurtful in return.
Yes, very annoying sometimes. We feel like we’re being treated like robots.
My example. A purchase followed by a request not to send it quickly because the lady was going on vacation. I keep the package as long as possible despite numerous reminders from Vinted and I end up shipping it at the very last minute. The result: I lose my badge for shipping quickly and I only receive an automatic rating from this charming person. (Sigh).
Besides, I imagine it’s for a 2€ thing ![]()
An AI would have written hello. Here, at least, you know there’s someone in front of you rather than a bot ![]()
plus un point d’interrogation si un dimanche soir tu n’as pas répondu dans les 5 mn suivant cette généreuse offre ![]()
When exceeding 40% is not enough, we make you an offer of more than 50% in the messaging. Ex. Yesterday a new, packaged item (designer bath linen, made in France) - low price because I don’t need it. Offered price: 5 euros. I did not reply.
