Mandatory advertising on Mondial Relay slips and?

Hello, I don’t know if this is new since I haven’t sold in a while, but I just made a sale and when printing the slip, an advertisement is automatically added to the bottom left quarter of the page, where there was nothing before. I wonder by what right an entity can decide to put advertising that individuals are forced to print? Are there people who are actually paid to have these ideas and scrape a few more cents, a few cm² of free space to embed advertising that no one wants on the slightest piece of paper?

This bothers me enormously on principle:

  • We are constantly told about pollution, the planet, etc., and yet printing useless stuff that will never be read doesn’t seem to be a problem.
  • Forcing customers to print, at their own expense and initiative, imposed advertising that cannot be disabled…

Some may think I’m stingy, but on principle, I am careful about what I print. For me, it’s not to make an open bar for commercial groups who are there to profit even more and scrape the bottom of the drawers, and now even the bottom of home printer drawers…

This sucks!!
And I’m not sure it’s very legal.

Good evening!

On the bottom left quarter? I have nothing currently, I always have an empty space. I downloaded a slip again today

Yes, it’s been 15 days since it arrived. It sucks, especially since I always throw away this 1/4.

I haven’t noticed anything on the Mondial Relay slips either. Which carrier are you referring to?

Mondial Relay. Which carrier are you talking about?

Don’t throw it away! It allows you to make a shopping list, a note, etc.! It can always be useful rather than using a new sheet, for example.

About 2 weeks ago, there was some kind of ad on it. I’ve been sending packages with Mondial Relay since then, and there’s nothing anymore.
I think it only lasted a few days.

Personally, I always use only half an A4 sheet. I cut them before putting them in the printer (it’s even paper that has already been used on the back :joy:)

With this trick, I only print the essentials  no waste of paper and ink :hugs:

Okay, but I’m a pro, so I don’t necessarily have the motivation to sort through the remnants of shipping slips :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Hello
Personally, I hide this part before printing. I’m on a MAC, when the slip is displayed in Preview, I put a large white rectangle over this part, so it doesn’t print

How do you sort? I print ALL my slips on half an A4, I don’t understand what you want to sort

Hello,
Yes, I had exactly the same thought as you. I wasn’t asked to sign a commercial contract allowing the promotion of companies on materials that I print myself, whether it’s to sell my own things or to people I send packages to.
So, I cut them out, delete them, and promise myself never to buy from these brands, unfortunately for them.

I was replying to sandie16 about keeping the slip of paper to use as a shopping notepad

It would be necessary to see if this is not indicated in the General Terms and Conditions, a sentence like « the seller authorizes Vinted to set up promotional campaigns » is enough, thinking that it is for oneself, so that in fact one has accepted without realizing it too much.
Afterwards, in principle, I don’t really like the practice, but one must also consider that the shipping costs are very low and that it greatly helps sellers. So if it helps to maintain them.

On eBay, Mondial Relay has just gone up to €2.39, which is really low.

I do the same thing, it’s sheets used on the back that I use. I’ve been doing this for quite a few years now. I tried it once and saw that it worked, so now I do it with every package.

I can understand that it can take time as a pro, but it avoids a lot of trouble for writing a word on a large sheet when this small piece takes very little time to cut from the sheet. It’s a shame.
Unless you send 20/30 packages per week, I don’t say anything, but nothing prevents you from keeping some from time to time.

Let’s just say I’m not very happy when it’s 20/30 packages per week, it can be per day during peak periods.

This is not Vinted, it’s Mondial Relay

I don’t know about that because it’s only on Vinted. On eBay, LBC, Beebs, or the Mondial Relay website, there isn’t any.

Are you printing with standard paper printer or thermal printer?
I also have this ad, and it necessarily uses ink.
