Potential unfair massive temporary suspension

The appeal response:

Hello, friptadium,

Thank you for contacting us.

I have reviewed your case and, unfortunately, our decision remains unchanged: your account remains blocked due to suspected violation of Vinted’s Terms and Conditions
(TERMES ET CONDITIONS | Vinted).

Even though your account is blocked, you can still access your messages via an internet browser and the app (make sure it’s up to date).

This allows you to communicate with your buyers and sellers and finalize ongoing transactions.

You can also transfer money from your Vinted wallet to your bank account, as usual.

Please review your rights and get more information in our Privacy Policy:

If this solution does not satisfy you, you can consider other dispute resolution methods, as indicated in our Terms and Conditions:

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Again, no reason given, but oh well, I’ll spam and get unbanned, I have no choice.

Someone has it in for you, it’s not possible

Do you take care to post your messages on the forum in the clemz tab, or are they totally public?

We are in a public category here

Oh yes, indeed. I just saw on a forum people offering to buy Vinted accounts!!! So I think you need to be very careful about what you write in the public section mainly. There are hunters ready to do anything

Buying back third-party accounts…. On Rakuten, the terms and conditions prohibit account transfers. I tried the experiment; changing all the contact details was possible until I tried to transfer money from the wallet to the new IBAN. And there, no question: the system still considered the old first/last name, the changes on the user interface had not modified the “real” database.
Absolutely impossible to get out of it. I had to go back to the old IBAN and arrange things with the previous account holder, while transferring the listings to a brand new account.
It wasn’t on Vinted, but I certainly wouldn’t take the risk of having a new IBAN, let alone if the first/last name is different from the previous IBAN.

I think these people are « snippers » and have IT skills that we don’t have. Or they are simply « brouteurs » or haters. My main point is to warn people to be careful about what they post here and elsewhere in public. I have seen many of you post commercial, administrative, and financial information here. The risks are quickly apparent.

I was automatically banned for items bought on Vinted! They were sold to me without any problem and then I was blocked directly for being fake. I sent them all the proof but it was no use, only bots replied. On the other hand, some people sell items with « replica » written on them without any issue. Terrible this month (and that’s not mentioning the lost and unreimbursed packages). I pray every time I post.

Same here. A 24-hour suspension for verification, with no reason given!

They restored my access the next day.

I have the same problem with another type of item. I sell antique cutlery and my account has already been blocked twice. They ban listings where there is anything that resembles knives, closely or distantly, on the pretext that it is sharp… even though there is a category for table knives. And when you appeal, the answer is the same. I was blocked for a pie server

Hello Friptadium, were you able to unblock your account?

being blocked by a pie server is the height of it!

Hello,
4 years on Vinted and my first ban. It’s for something stupid.
I have a package that wasn’t delivered. I ask the buyer for an explanation, and she tells me that her package was returned after 4 days instead of 7. Anyway, she wants her package and asks me to create a new listing for her with the items from the package once I receive it.
So this morning I do that and… no listing online. I think I made a mistake, so I try again and then I get a message saying I’m banned for 72 hours for duplicate listings (even though they weren’t, as they were already sold).

Anyway, I appeal, and Vinted tells me I have to wait 120 hours for a response!!!

I’m so fed up with their failures. When I search for an item, there are so many new things with a hole or not in the right category, and they bother me for something that was already sold! It’s just ridiculous.

in the same situation as you, I wanted to do a test by reporting 20 completely off-topic ads. I think only two were removed. The others I have in my message box for 6 months… in short, no logic with their bots…

I had my previous account completely closed because of an old-fashioned shaving set: so, I’m keeping it for a garage sale

I’m in pretty much the same situation. For me, it was when I was putting a new article online, I got an error message when validating it, so I tried again and boom, immediately a 3-day restriction for duplication. In fact, the first publication had still gone through. And like you, when I requested an appeal, I was asked to wait 120 hours…

Blocked from posting new ads for 3 days for a republication.

On my end, I sell things that I make, so I reuse the same photos each time.

For 1 year, I republished without modifying the photos and it was fine. I see that the BOT will now cut us down, we’ll go back to the frames generated by the extension

personally, as soon as I forget to change it, 3/4 of the time it’s a warning.

Hello,
Are you receiving a warning for a duplicate? another reason?

duplicate or too similar
