The only unusual thing I did was send a website link to a client via private message.
Could this be the reason for this verification?

Others manage more or less or tell themselves that it’s part of the game and that in the end it remains very marginal. Even as a professional, I can’t imagine explaining to clients that they need to tinker to bypass Vinted, so sales stay on Vinted. Besides, they can put a warning, they don’t have to suspend the account directly.

Ridiculous paranoia, but oh well. The worst for keywords is Rakuten’s messaging system, a messaging system that is hardly used anyway. I see the developments to ban phone numbers, in case some people want to leave the site. Any sequence of numbers is blocked, a message containing only a single digit is also blocked, and writing numbers in full is also blocked. Obviously, this has never stopped anyone from finding a way to communicate the information.
I can’t believe that the volume lost by the platform is significant. On the other hand, there is a little boss and IT staff who spend their time modifying parameters to block better, which costs money.
I think the big change by Vinted on this type of issue is to completely hide people’s addresses, including on VintedGo labels. Nothing encourages proximity, and the site’s culture is such that it is exceptional for someone to look for a hand-to-hand delivery, even though I reveal my city in my profile. Here, Vinted has perfectly succeeded.

it’s completely ridiculous because indeed it must be on the fringe (and besides people do like to have the platform’s protection) and then sometimes it happens that we just give the phone number in case of a problem because it’s easier to manage directly than by messaging. Especially for a professional, it’s completely ridiculous not to allow phone calls.
hello vinted will have to give in at some point to the giants that are lbc and ebay on which there are no such problems including free republication (I just made a sale on ebay of something forgotten thanks to this). Especially since vinted is entering the US market. Either Vinted takes a beating against total liberalism or it will have to align itself. I just took a look at lbc for clothing. People are starting to post their ads en masse. That said, given the number of enlightened people (even crazy ones), it is better to be careful and protect your confidential data. but this should be a choice.
