Hello, as a small private seller, I’m wondering if getting the software for my clothing items is worthwhile? Do you have more sales with it? Will Vinted continue to support these « fake photos » for a long time? We are seeing more and more of them, in any case!
Personally, I’m against it, simply because I tried it and was the « victim » of mass reporting. I learned that FB groups were created to mass-report listings with AI photos (people are clearly bored with their lives…).
I had dozens of listings reported every day…
So, I went back to my good « old » mannequin and in the end, I’ve made more sales since then, so it’s all for the best! I think buyers don’t trust AI photos. And as long as Vinted hasn’t clearly stated that it’s allowed, I won’t try it again ![]()
I know we still see a lot of them on Vinted, but I don’t want to get banned because I have tons of reports!
Hello, how can we see if we have any reports? Thank you very much.
Hello - absolutely against it as a buyer. You will be shown an item in perfect condition and you will receive something that does not resemble the photos. And if you are not satisfied, return at your expense. No thank you
You need to go to account settings, privacy settings, manage account data, and make a request to download your data.
thank you
I have never tested it:)
Hello!
Welcome to the Miss forum ![]()
I use AI photos but:
- Sparingly and not on my entire wardrobe
- After the 3rd or 4th re-listing when I really can’t sell it
- I then specify in the description that the 1st photo is AI-generated,
- The other photos are not
In this way, I have managed to sell items that have been there for a long time and in 99% of cases the buyers were satisfied (I had only 1 return because the person did not read the description.. I accepted the return at their expense not clearly knowing Vinted’s policy on this matter.)
Thanks for the welcome
Even with nice photos, AI is better?
Yes, even with photos on a mannequin, in daylight, etc. ![]()
So first, hello! I’ve been on Vinted for almost two years. I recently started posting listings with AI models, and for a few days now, they’ve hardly been getting through. 26 strikes today. Given the time it takes, I’m thinking of quitting AI. Any feedback?
I started using AI photos for almost all my articles, but I limit myself to the first photo and check that the article is identical to mine. Personally, it sells very well, especially the big items that, despite being presented on a mannequin, weren’t selling.
Before, I used to edit after republishing, but after 3 listings were removed, I asked Clem to republish them as drafts, then I changed them, and I haven’t had any more problems so far.
For me, the result is positive, but I had a lot of trouble getting photos that looked like my items.
Good evening and welcome to the forum!
Which AI do you use?
I’m like @Licorne_407, sparingly. That didn’t stop me from having 4 reports this week, but by importing from my backup… I was able to put them back ![]()
I’m using the paid version of ChatGPT. But actually, after analysis, my images are too perfect, like e-commerce, professional photographer, that’s what’s not working…
I spoke too soon yesterday 10 listings hidden by Vinted for… poor quality photo (he has a sense of humor, that’s something)
I’m using Gimini, the free version from Google.
Now I’m taking my photo and asking it to add grain. On my phone, I crop to remove the watermark and then apply a filter to add a defect (it seems to be working for now).
Despite all this, my sales are booming and I’m happy.
Fingers crossed that Vinted leaves me alone!!
Hello,
26 strikes? After 2, our account is normally blocked…?
So I got lucky. In any case, no more photos with AI for me.
Yes, it’s indeed possible that it looks too « perfect ».
You need to find the right angle/background/prompt.
Hello,
Every first photo of my listings is redone on Chat GPT, sometimes Vinted masks 1 or 2 photos, sometimes it deletes 1 photo. I redo my listing without the AI photo and then later I put the AI photo back.
So there you have it
After a few masked announcements, I spoke with Gimini (Google’s AI) and it turns out that when you’re in Vinted’s sights, the bot analyzes the photo’s signature and depending on the AI used, it’s more or less strong. This signature is called SynthID.
So whether the photo is a reflection of the item or not, if the AI was used early or late, there will be a problem!
Would it be possible to consider whether Clemz could remove (or reduce) this signature during republication.
I’ve already tried modifying the result and taking a screenshot, the signature remains.
I hope I’ve helped and if anyone has a solution for removing it, I hope they’ll share it!
Have a nice day
Hello, I have just carefully read your lines, there are free online software to remove information from photos.
