Hello!
You may have already seen it on your profile: Vinted continues to comply with European obligations.
The platform is therefore now asking for your tax number directly. You will either see this message on your profile
For professionals, it’s not exactly the same screen.
They ask for the company registration number. Be careful not to copy and paste from a Kbis; you need to reverse the name and remove spaces between the numbers:
Kbis: 123 456 789 RCS VILLE
on Vinted: RCS VILLE 123456789
Thank you @Gametoysretro: since yesterday I’ve been struggling to enter the SIREN on all possible devices (phone, tablet, PC…) and you finally give me the solution (and the right one)!
Yes, generally speaking, the government wants to tighten the screws and look much more closely at the accounts of individuals on LBC, eBay, Etsy, Vinted, etc. Everyone knows it: when you have 500, 1000, 1500 reviews/sales in a year, you are no longer in the individual category at all, and sooner or later the tax authorities will knock on your door. It’s inevitable, those who take the risk will be disappointed in 2025. On the other hand, I often repeat it: you have a « super » personal account: large volumes, many followers, everything is fine. If you get audited, you won’t be able to recover ANYTHING if you want to switch to a professional account: you start from zero. There will be no transfer. It is therefore better to think carefully because the threshold not to cross is quite low: 2000 euros, after that it’s the orange zone I would say, above 5000 it’s the red zone and next year it’s guaranteed control. On the other hand, it’s very easy to report someone: you look at the profile, the number of reviews, the type of items sold, it’s not personal > you send the details to the tax authorities. (No, I don’t do it, but it happened to me so I’m speaking from experience
