Leboncoin will change the rules for listings

I think it’s 3.99 for posting an ad, and it’s deleted after 60 days

At that point, I switch to a « too bad for you » mode

But that’s without the subscription? I applied for a preview of the new offers the day before yesterday but I still haven’t received anything.

They don’t even have a page to display all this clearly. Anyway, I’m passing on them this time.

Hello,

Same here, I have to pay 3.99 to renew each listing. It’s no longer profitable for me at all… Does anyone know if they offer another plan?

Apparently they offer monthly packages, the cheapest being €14.99 excluding tax. Except that the description is not clear. And again, I’m telling you this, it was an email I received (deleted since), except there is nothing on the site about it, when you go directly to it. I really don’t understand how their communication works, you’d think they offer something « to test » and it disappears 10 days later.
By the way, I find their general terms and conditions not precise enough. The number 50 should be clearly indicated as well as the cost of going live and the packages. I don’t find it normal to have to contact their storefront service to know the prices. Aren’t they required, as with IRL stores, to clearly display their prices?
For my part, I will stick to the 50 ads, I still have 400 online that are gradually being put on hold for republication (impossible with the 50 allowed). Then I will only leave the 50 ads with the best view/favorite ratio as well as the « most expensive » ones. And I’ll see with Vinted and Opla.

Except that it’s 50 ads flat and not sliding, right? I just spoke to them on the phone, they offered me a deal for €300 for 200 ads per month while I sell used books for a few euros each. I politely told them to get lost, reminding them of the rates offered by eBay (10,000 ads for €150). Apparently, there will be new, more suitable offers at the end of the month, but I’m not holding my breath.

In summary: they are fumbling. In a few weeks, things will stabilize.

it’s €40 for 10k ads (on the other hand, you have to take into account that a re-publication counts as a new ad). Knowing that the commission is a little lower than for individuals and that there is a 10% discount for being a Top Seller Reliability +, which offsets the cost of the subscription a bit. And having more than doubled my turnover just by switching to a shop, it’s quite profitable.

Honestly, considering what you sell (since we’re in a similar niche), you should push eBay (start as an individual to set up and prepare your account). At least for the nice items and new ones.

My bad indeed, 150 euros is the next tier for unlimited:sweat_smile:
It was cheaper on the American version though, with an annual subscription option.

that’s it. At that price of 300 euros for 200 ads, they will go bankrupt or only real estate and car ads, and a few individuals posting 2/3 personal items will remain. It’s hard to understand why they sold when the site was making a good profit, with jobs, and a cash flow that wasn’t that bad.

You don’t change a winning team, or only make minor adjustments.

There are tools that will centralize eBay, Vinted, Etsy, LBC, etc. The most annoying is Vinted because it doesn’t have an API, but now it’s manageable with browser extension development.

I might get back into eBay, sometime this year, by targeting « collectible » parts.

I have already mentioned it in previous posts, but since he gets banned quickly, I couldn’t link to it.

He runs an API to create an ad every two or three minutes. As I write this, he has 3,555 ads for a profile created on April 27th (he seems to have taken a break during the long weekends).

He is really easy to recognize, between the prices « €10.47 » and the aggressive descriptions. The only difference compared to previous avatars: he was selling at 8% cheaper than new, and now he has lowered his prices to 9% cheaper than new  (rolling on the floor laughing)

On the other hand, this doesn’t seem very effective:

As the account is very new, no sales have been finalized yet.
Incidentally, it now refuses shipments for amounts under €25 (it must be said that it would be more expensive than new)

I think I came across his profile recently. I’m betting more on a custom import script since it’s a personal account. In any case, at the end of the month, if the trends concerning professional accounts are confirmed, I’ll get into it too (I already have a custom plugin for Vinted).

It still looks like a disguised professional, which would explain his easily accessible stock.

There is little doubt that he is a pro.

On the other hand, it is forbidden to sell new books with a discount of more than 5% off the public price. Only books that have been formally removed from distribution may be sold, according to well-defined rules. The titles offered by this gentleman are, however, recent print runs that are still available from publishers…

Given his profile, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s someone who has a shop or a website (and who can therefore get supplies directly from distributors)

Hide their identity? What do you mean?

Otherwise, in my area, same thing: an account has new and authentic items, very recent, in quantity, and at lower prices than on specialized sites. I don’t know how they do it.
