We find quite a few testimonials/exchanges concerning Vinted Pro, but on the Leboncoin side, it’s a desert.
Also, I was wondering a few things:
How does Leboncoin charge buyers? Are the protection fees also separate from the rest of the billing and therefore deductible in micro-enterprise?
I often see professional ads where the profile does not allow access to the list of ads; we are forced to search for their username in the search bar to access their catalog, and conversely, some have a « shop » view with integrated search. From what I understand, this is linked to the pro page option which does not display public prices. Would anyone know more about this?
Finally, do any of you sell with a private profile, and if so, is the platform as restrictive as Vinted on this subject?
Hello,
Here are the answers I can provide:
I sell both as an individual and as a professional on Leboncoin. 2 distinct accounts, but with the same RIB because one professional and one individual are allowed.
To access the list of items, by clicking on the profile, when you sell professionally, you must have a shop, as you understood. This costs at least a hundred euros per month. That’s the basic rate that was offered to me. No guarantee of sales, but with support and advice.
Otherwise, you remain with the « pro » banner and we must find you by typing the name in the search bar, as you also understand. Visibility is very questionable unfortunately!
For an individual buyer, here’s what it looks like when you buy from an individual on Leboncoin:
Leboncoin takes a commission from professional sellers, which is more or less high depending on the categories of items for sale and whether or not you have the professional shop subscription.
For my part, in the figurine/toy category, I am at 13%…
The price of the pro shop is considerable, especially for a platform that does not offer a turnkey solution for volume (no seller API to my knowledge).
Regarding billing, I’m not sure I understood correctly, do shipping costs and buyer protection not appear on the statement? So, as a micro-enterprise with a simplified regime, would we only declare the VAT-inclusive price of the item?
So leboncoin provides the invoice for their seller commission.
No, the details of a « usual » invoice are not present. What I know as a professional seller is that there is no indication of the shipping costs paid by the buyer, nor the protection fees. It’s leboncoin after all who makes them pay, not you.
Only the image I showed you details the « selling price », « amount received », and « commission cost » sections. This is also found on DAC7, but that’s once a year.
I am a micro-enterprise, not subject to VAT. I sell remotely via a specialized catalog (this is the official term for my « profession ») for additional information.
yes it’s very expensive, that’s why few sellers get into it and stick to a personal account (they are less picky than Vinted) and as you say no tools are provided (unlike eBay for example)
