Hello everyone,
As the title indicates, I am testing the showcase dressing and frankly, it is not conclusive at all.
So far no sales and very few favorites. Only an increase in views of my items… frankly I did better in January/February without the promotion.
In short, very disappointed and an experience I will probably never repeat
Boosts and window dressing are highly criticized lately. Especially since January there have been major issues with random visibility.
Vinted does have a big problem in this regard, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it backfires on them in the long run, when they could definitively crush all competition if they weren’t so stubborn about nonsense.
I confirm that the showcase dressing brought me absolutely nothing. In the remaining time between my post 11 days ago and the end of the promotion, I didn’t even get any favorites! Sales are out of the question: nothing. On the contrary, I had more favorites the week after the showcase dressing period.
And now it’s back to nothing. It’s just desperate…
I think there’s a method to be implemented with the showcase dressing, for example, I have a colleague who mainly offers 2 brands, he appears most of the time in the first position. he has about twenty evaluations per day, it doesn’t seem to me that he boosts the items however he uses clemz to repost enormously, I had also heard that the showcase dressing is interesting when you have similar products or brands it would help the algorithm, too many different items would « confuse » it, that’s what I bring with my short experience, if others have information about showcase dressing I’m interested because it’s still a huge saving compared to boosting per item
Hello everyone,
So I will present arguments for and against window dressing:
Personally, given the very low cost compared to the revenue I generate on Vinted, I reactivate the option every time it stops.
Last month, I had about sixty items for sale at all times, with different categories, for example: trousers, jacket, suit, shirt.
I had between 8,000 and 10,000 views per month generated by the window dressing option. Lots of favorites and many conversations started, and quite a few more followers.
Since I refocused my dressing room on a single category, namely suits, I have very few views, about 1000 per week, and especially almost no favorites.
Furthermore, it is no longer possible to know the number of subscribers generated by window dressing.
I therefore find it much less effective since the statistics consultation was updated.
I also think that the diversity of products you can sell in your dressing room makes it more or less visible to a wide range of buyers.
Welcome Buyedgar to the forum!
And thank you for this feedback on the showcase dressing, it’s very interesting! I generally agree on everything. The presentation of the statistics for this feature is really… unsuccessful. Much less relevance/interest in the proposed figures..
Since the display case dressing is currently 50% off, I wanted to try the experience again.
But how naive I was, it’s been almost 6 hours since I started the display case and it’s even worse than I could have imagined.
They already say 2 hours for the statistics to be displayed, and after 6 hours still nothing.
I don’t even have any more views on my ads. Favorites, let’s not even talk about it. NOTHING AT ALL.
In short, it’s just become a big scam ![]()
Just to show you… what is this craziness?
So it’s been 24 hours since I put my dressing room on display and apart from « appearances »… only 1 item view!!! So this is really… I’m speechless
Hello!
During my last showcase, (early March) I had very good results in terms of visibility and favorites, but for that… you need to be active on the platform: publish and/or republish at a minimum.
To prove its effectiveness, here is a screenshot (I intentionally left the date in the file name)
Good luck
Hello Lucile, thank you for your results ![]()
I understand, but the problem is that I only have about 40 items (things I no longer need), so I don’t have tons of things to resell either.
I try to repost some ads each week. It takes time because I take new photos each time, different ones. Every day I like other people’s posts, and from time to time I modify ads…
In reality, it’s becoming tiring. Being forced to be « active » to be seen… we don’t always have that to do with our days.
I wish it could go back to how it was a few years ago ![]()
Do you know in which cases it is relevant to put your dressing room in view, and conversely in which cases it is useless?
For my part, when I don’t take/no longer take it, sales drop very significantly. Including by publishing regularly (almost daily new articles)
I’ve tested it several times and for me, I much prefer the boosts which, in my opinion, bring greater visibility.
Afterwards, I know from experience that this works quite well on accounts with the same products (a Vinted account that is focused solely on sneakers, books, or other items…) as opposed to as soon as the wardrobe is diversified, I have a more negative return and in that case I prefer boosts in order to target the product(s) whose visibility I want to increase.
Hello,
I understand. Perhaps reposting every week is a bit too frequent. We recommend leaving it online for 1 or 2 weeks before promoting it again. Sometimes buyers take longer to decide.
Hello everyone,
Personally, I had never done it until last week. Overall, I am quite satisfied for the moment. I don’t have last week’s numbers anymore, but here are this week’s numbers for now. The views/fav ratio is good, I think, so I’m happy with it. Of course, the stats offered are terrible, there’s so much missing information to make them relevant. As usual, Vinted leaves us more or less in the dark.
Are there any figures or orders of magnitude for these stats?
In other words, number of views, article lives, and favorites?
I just looked and I can’t tell if it’s correct or not.
