Favorites send an offer to the interested person

Hello everyone, I’ve been wondering for a while if it’s worth sending an offer to people who favorite our items to potentially trigger a sale?

Usually, as soon as I get genuine favorites, I lower the price of my item directly. I also do this price drop once a week or every 15 days, depending on the number of sales made and how long my listings have been active.

Do you think this offer sending method would be a good idea? If so, how much should we lower the price to make it effective?

Hello Nath!
On my end, this option never really worked. Sending a message without an offer works better
I hope other people can respond with their experience

I’ve taken the plunge and started sending out offers. So far, only one person has accepted, but it was for an older item at €10. Since it had been a while, I gave them a price of €6.25. For higher-priced items, the €5 discount isn’t working.

Thanks, Lucile, for that information :slightly_smiling_face: Can you tell me how to phrase the message effectively to increase the chances of it working?

I send a message with -10% and it sometimes works

Thank you Sabine, I will do the test with the next people :cherry_blossom:

The offer presentation has changed

For buyers it’s the same, there’s just an additional sentence, does this mean it’s possible for them to make 25 different offers?

Hello Nath!

Thank you for this information. 25 for only one product… that seems like a lot! Perhaps there’s a limit of 25 offers per day and not per item?
Keep us updated if other people experience the offers

I don’t have this screen, I only had « for offers and the boost offer session » the ability to set the price we want and not buttons like here, and at the beginning it was limited to 6 offers per day, and now 25 offers per day (and not 25 offers on an item)

Thank you Valentin. For the buttons, it’s new, they’ve only been displaying like this for a few days.

Hmm, I would bet that they want to limit offers made by sellers and not buyers because Vinted already sets limits for Clemz when we make too many offers…

To be seen if this affects people who make numerous offers via Clemz!

Offers are limited to 25 per session. It should block for an hour, then another 25. Their % system was not adopted. But the % is often more telling than a price drop.
When I receive an offer of -40% (3 euros for 5 euros), which is regular, I reply thank you, but 40% is too much. they often understand
I use sending offers quite a bit.

I have done several tests with and without messages, although overall I have made some sales, I have chosen to send a message each time, which allows me to tell them my availability for sending the package at the same time.

I would like your feedback on sending automatic offers to people who favorite items.

I tested 10%, 12%, and 15%.

Only 15% seems to work, and even then. Now it’s people sending offers when before I had to go find sales one by one.

Do you send automatic offers? If so, at what percentage?

Hello!
I’m sending a message but no offer. I tested with offers… but I had 0 additional sales compared to sending only the message. So.. I’m continuing with what works :slightly_smiling_face:

I just saw that in October 2024, I said about the same thing :joy: sorry for the repetition then, it remains constant on my end

Personally, I send directly between -30 and 50%. Probably way too fast, even. I should leave a few hours before to let them maybe crack at full price.

I would say that 90% of my sales result from my offers.

On the other hand, I never send messages, I find it too intrusive, and I’ve noticed that many people don’t like to talk. I rarely even get a thank you, even after a sale with such a discount.

I’m used to sending only one message, but I think I’ll try with a 10% offer to see if I get a better sales conversion.

Hello - I no longer make offers following the « add to favorites » feature: it doesn’t work and gives potential buyers the impression that they have to negotiate at all costs. Even accepted offers lead to nothing.

Hello,

I tested the message with an offer and it almost never worked. I felt a bit like I was doing hard selling, and sometimes buyers would make even lower offers and often wouldn’t end up finalizing the purchase.

I switched to a simple thank you message.

A handwritten message or with Clemz?

And what message do you send? I’m wondering what to send without making an offer.

Apparently, to each their own method

With Clemz (but I’m happy you asked anyway! :face_savoring_food:)
A fairly open message in the style of « welcome to my closet, make me an offer and I’ll see what I can do. (Be careful, I still have minimum prices to respect.) » It’s not exactly those words, but that’s the idea.

Yes, it’s interesting to see everyone’s differences!
