Item duplication?

Good evening
This has happened several times now, and I’m really wondering: where is this article duplication coming from?
After a re-publication, I receive favorites etc. on items that have already been sold! This happened to me this evening on several items, I panicked and deleted the items that I immediately recognized: they were all items that had already been sold. You know the Vinted rule: do not delete a sold item, so it’s double trouble.
Is this a bug? This is not the first time this has happened to me and it is NOT an isolated case at all, I now have about ten items that appear after my republication even though they have been sold.

Hello!
If I understand correctly, you’re receiving a lot of favorites for items that have been sold and you haven’t relisted them either? Is it not possible to buy them from your wardrobe?

A few weeks ago, I also had 1 favorite on 1 sold item, I was very surprised but I didn’t do anything else. and I continue to sell.
A bug on Vinted’s part?

Hello Lucile, yes I do receive favorites on sold items. I didn’t know that republishing included sold items! Actually, honestly, I don’t understand anything about this whole catalog/wardrobe/republishing section. I don’t know what needs to be done, when, I don’t understand the differences between « to process » / in stock?
Anyway, that’s another subject. When I see an item that has been sold but is therefore available again, I delete it because I don’t want to find myself having to refuse a sale and then explain to Vinted what happened. Has that never happened to you?

Actually, you are the one who chooses what you want to re-list in your closet, and you can indeed re-list items that have already been sold, if you have put them back in your to-do list.

Your stock list: what you want to re-list soon
Your to-do list: what you will re-list immediately by clicking on « Go Clemz » in the Re-list tab.
Did you watch the video on the subject? I explain live how to re-list :hugs: right here :right_arrow: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVcuPAfVlII

In this case, in my example, my item had already been sold a few hours earlier, it was no longer available for purchase in my closet. So it was impossible to close another sale

Whoa okay, Ben, thanks a lot, and luckily I asked, I’ll have to go through the whole catalog to remove the republications. I’ll watch the video, but I’m already completely lost in my lists, I don’t understand anything at all (and honestly, it’s not… very user-friendly).
Clémz hasn’t republished everything, so I don’t know what to do between: saved closet, republished closet, closet to publish… frankly, I want to delete everything, it’s becoming a headache, and above all, above all, I don’t really see what it brings me.

Hello,

I’m not sure I understand the part that’s causing you trouble
Where do you see the notions of « republished closet » or « closet to publish »?

Are you talking about the difference between the Clemz backup and the closet you have on Vinted? Or something else?

hello Clément, I’m just a bit lost between what’s « validated » in stock, etc. I don’t really see how if I republish I won’t have the already sold items in it and with 250 items if I have to check everything manually, frankly… not very practical or efficient.

Could you provide screenshots to clarify?

The « in stock » list in the extension might be misnamed. It’s just a list for « setting aside » items from the « to process » list that you don’t want to process immediately.
Perhaps I should rename it.

Thank you Clément; I admit I don’t know where to start anymore. It’s really, really complicated when the need is super, super simple. There are 50 lists, links everywhere. You get lost. Sorry Clément, but it’s really… archaic and complex. I don’t know:

  • What’s in the lists. Or what they’re for
  • Why part of my ‹ list › still hasn’t been republished
  • Why you’re telling me some items don’t have a « size » when the size is clearly indicated
  • Why I keep clicking and favoriting a bunch of junk everywhere which, by the way, messes up my navigation and alerts when I receive zero favorites in return.
    etc. etc. etc.
I’m unsubscribing. Sorry. Nice, but really, really too messy and complex.
Take inspiration from VintedCRM. Simple, SHARP, clean, effective.
I really like the spirit of Clemz and I can see you put your heart into it, but it’s a mess… there are no other words

at your convenience
There are hundreds of Clemz users and less clever ones than you, so I think with a few explanations, you’d manage without any problems!

And to answer you:

  • Lists: There are ultimately only 2 useful lists:

  • the « :inbox_tray: to process » list where you put the articles Clemz needs to work on (republish or modify)

  • the « :white_check_mark: processed » list which contains… processed articles

  • Articles not republished: If some articles on your list are not republished, there is probably an error on them (:warning:) and you just need to hover your mouse over them to see and understand it

  • Size: Clemz doesn’t say your articles don’t have a Size  Clemz is telling you that Vinted says they don’t have a size. And it’s simply because sometimes Vinted changes its size references and therefore the ones entered no longer work. You just need to update them manually and that’s it.

  • Favorites: You are probably confusing « adding favorites » and « receiving notifications of favorites you have already given ». During the exchange, Clemz has a large warning message that warns that exchanging favorites will have this impact

  • However, if you think you are not receiving favorites in return (this is not instantaneous!), then yes, there is a problem…
