Hello everyone,
This morning, 2 re-uploads were flagged by Vinted. The re-uploads were done without any modifications, and spaced 20 minutes apart. Note: the listings are over 3 months old (and I don’t know if they are older or younger than 6 months).
I’ve been doing this for two weeks, and this is the first time Vinted has flagged a re-upload.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Thanks in advance for your feedback.
Hello!
Welcome to the forum.
Why do you think they are spotted by Vinted? Are they in the same place as before?
Thank you for the welcome message.
The two republished listings in question have been removed, with Vinted considering them duplicates.
And that wasn’t the case? Did you look via smart dressing? Don’t you have a similar item in another size, for example?
Yes, I’ve checked. No similar or duplicate items. I think Vinted flagged the repost with the same photos.
I was wondering how long Clemz waits between deleting a listing and reposting it.
I had exactly the same thing happen with one of my books. It put me off and I haven’t tried to republish it since. I’m sorry, so I won’t really be able to help you with this.
This is called a « False Duplicate »: Vinted detects a duplicate that is not one and unfortunately deletes the republication…
You can re-import the item from your backup to correct this.
We never understood why this happened sometimes, whereas in 95% of cases, there is no problem…
Thank you for the feedback.
It was the fact of having two republications deleted within an hour that worried me.
I have a hypothesis (which is worthless, I’m not a developer): could it be a timing issue, and perhaps performance differences between several servers? The republication (and the automatic check) would thus take place before the actual deletion of the ad on their end.
In theory, Clemz deletes the old listing, pauses, then re-publishes the new one.
But it is possible that Vinted indeed keeps deleted listings in memory for a while for its checks. and that sometimes, as you say, the check is done BEFORE the effective deletion.
In any case, there is nothing Clemz can do better unfortunately… we are dependent on Vinted there.
Thank you for the feedback.
Could we not set the duration between the Clemz deletion and the republication?
(note: we can do it manually by creating a draft, but we lose the automation aspect)
I put a delay of a few seconds between the 2 steps.
It turns out that the problem comes and goes, so I’m not sure this setting will help much…
People who had it modified their photos by re-publishing for a while, until they were « forgotten » by Vinted, then they resumed normal re-publishing. This is usually enough ![]()
Hello, every time I repost something, it is systematically deleted within minutes, sometimes the reposts are more than one or two years old. I have deleted a post and reposted it a few days later, and it reappears exactly where it was deleted. I don’t know why or how!
Hello!
There are no duplicates in your closet? We can look into it in detail via Clemz support, if you are using the extension.
Send us a message at bonjour@clemz.app
from your Clemz account email address. This will allow me to help you accurately ![]()
