Account restricted when publishing a new ad

Hello,

A little rant because I am extremely angry.
Earlier, I was putting listings online (not republications, initial publications). When validating one of the listings, I got a message « Oops error » and it stayed on my publication page. So I validated it again and immediately after I received a message saying that I had published a duplicate listing and that my account was restricted for 3 days.
I immediately filed a complaint explaining that I had no duplicate listings in my closet and that the duplicate was due to a Vinted bug at the time of my listing publication. Response, « your request will only be studied in 120 hours, please wait this period. » 120 hours is 5 days, which is even longer than the restriction!!!
They’re going to drive me crazy!!!

I had the same as you, I received their response and they estimate that it is my fault, no recourse possible!

Same. They replied the same thing to me today.

Hello @Clement, @Lucile

I wanted to bring this to your attention.
Ever since I was banned for a double post (because the first time there was no trace of the announcement and before that, big problems every time, slow loading pages that don’t indicate if they’ve gone through, etc.), I’ve been terrified of posting myself (especially since I have ADHD to top it all off!)

I was wondering if it wouldn’t be possible to make the announcement with Clem so that it’s pre-checked. Because if I get banned again, I’ll have to stop using Vinted.

Thank you for all the work you do.

Have a great day

Can you write to us at bonjour@clemz.app so we can understand your request exactly?

We confirm that Vinted is implementing a major wave of restrictions for 3 days whenever they suspect « a duplicate item in your wardrobe. » They want to combat the practice of some sellers who list the same item multiple times to increase their chances.

The problem is that they often detect these duplicates erroneously!!
And we get « flagged » even when acting in good faith… catastrophic :frowning:

My advice for now:

  • Space out republications well
  • Significantly modify photos if you want to take no risks (we have a whole article on this because Clemz does it for you: 📸 Modifier les photos - Clemz)

Keep us updated in case of a ban! Potentially, I will have to modify Clemz to reduce the risks even further.

Hello,

I’m getting back to you regarding my post.

In fact, I was banned for 3 days. At first, I thought it was because of my ad which reposted an already sold item (that the buyer hadn’t picked up), but actually no, I had indeed published the same ad twice. This happened because the first time I clicked publish, my ad disappeared (I searched thoroughly and couldn’t find it), so I thought I had been too quick and recreated the ad, which got banned.

I didn’t find the first ad right away. 4 hours later, I thought, what if I just clicked republish in the conversation (even though I was banned), and it worked, and my first ad appeared with the others!!! In short, a Vinted bug that really got me into trouble :frowning:

So here is my reasoning following this horrible experience.

Instead of creating my ad on Vinted and then saving it on Clem, why not create it on Clem and publish it using the republication tool to ensure that the ads are only present once.
Because Vinted bugs so much when I publish new items, sometimes it stays on the page of the ad to be validated even though it has already been published, or it publishes it but doesn’t show it!

In short, I don’t know if this is feasible or if it could really help, but Vinted has become extremely difficult, it’s quite frightening!
Thank you for your attention

I think they are making sure the app stays consistent. There are so many people trying to take advantage.
When I read that some people post the same ad with different photos on multiple accounts… pfffff

Our tip: publish your drafts with Clemz.

You create your drafts on Vinted, then add them to Clemz, then launch « republish ». When it’s done, double-check what has been done.

This way, no more validation errors on Vinted

PLEASE: this is a somewhat « specific » topic and unique to your usage, can we continue by email (bonjour@clemz.app) to leave this forum post on a broader theme? Thank you!

Coherent is really not the first term that comes to mind when I talk about Vinted

If they wanted to be coherent, they would have stuck to clothes and TOTALLY banned new items. They are mostly (on many subjects) in a kind of unclear middle ground that creates absurd situations, since they are managed by bots.

Profit? Well, it’s a sales app where people are looking to sell. And duplicate listings, frankly? How is that a big deal? They would be better off really controlling counterfeits, those who black market heavily, or those who mass import from Shein/Temu which does not comply with European standards.

Besides, it’s also their fault that this happens. I think Fritadium, which you are referring to, would prefer to do everything on their professional account without having to fiddle around to bypass Vinted’s nonsense. I’ve been on sales platforms for 20 years and I’ve never wasted as much time as on Vinted for useless nonsense.

Hello,

I have a pro account and a personal account, both quite large. I only sell second-hand clothes and have been using Clemz for over a year to make my new listings or reposts.

Last week, I received the message « ouch ouch ». Right after, I checked and tried to reactivate the listings to finish the job, but it resulted in the same thing on both accounts: a message from Vinted indicating that the listings were duplicates, even though I space out my listings by at least 220 seconds. Knowing that my listings were not duplicates, just a bug or a Vinted recording issue when the « ouch ouch » occurred.

Since then, I haven’t used the Clemz feature again, for fear of receiving the same type of message again or being banned. Clément or Lucile, do you have any new information on this subject?

For the moment, I prefer to remain in manual mode for my publications, while waiting for potential modifications.

Significant changes have been observed this past week on Vinted concerning reposting tools, which we all need to work. Today, I no longer repost, only create new listings directly through Vinted to avoid being flagged.

Thank you for your feedback and solutions.

Have a good Sunday.

Yes, I will try it like that. Thank you

I was restricted for 3 days. The restriction was lifted 2 days ago but I’m doing the same thing, I’m not republishing for the moment and I’m publishing new listings manually for fear of being « spotted » and therefore restricted again or worse. I don’t even dare to use views/favs anymore. I’m in full manual mode for the moment as long as we don’t know more about the « new » madness of the Vinted BOT.
