PRO ACCOUNT: transfer impossible

Hello,

I am contacting you because I am currently experiencing an absurdity.

I created my Vinted pro account 2 months ago (already a nightmare, having to resend KBiS documents etc… account directly blocked for 2 weeks for no reason…)

In the meantime, I sold quite a few items and decided to make a transfer to my pro account.

I received an email 2 days later saying that my transfer failed. I re-checked my bank details, everything is correct. I tried again, twice, then three times. Still failed.

I contacted customer service who first told me that I was not validating the code received by SMS to validate the transfer, which is false since I do it every time.

Then, they finally told me that my transfer was rejected because the name of my wallet is not identical to the name of my professional bank account.

So I asked them to change it, it’s quite logical that the wallet should be in the company’s name and not mine.

I was informed that this was not possible, for security reasons. At this point, I’m really starting to freak out. They then told me they could do nothing for me.

I am devastated and don’t know what to do anymore. From what I’ve read, going through mediation is a waste of time…

Has anyone else had this problem?

Hello,

There must be a reason, even if you think it’s not valid.
You must have received a message (even an automated one) from Vinted indicating the reasons for the block.

If you used a « trading name » to create your business, it’s possible that’s what’s causing the block.
The Vinted account and the bank account must have exactly the same information.

For fund transfers (emptying your wallet on Vinted), Vinted does not handle this.
It’s their partner MangoPay
You can contact them at this email: end-users@mangopay.com or complaint@mangopay.com

Provide all the useful information that will allow them to resolve your problem.

First, check if you have the same details on your Vinted account and your bank account, otherwise, they will tell you the same thing.

Good luck,

Hello,

Thank you for this quick reply and the MangoPay contacts. Actually, when I look at my information on my profile, I have this:

  • Legal representative: my company’s name (I had entered my first and last name, and they changed it following my first claim, but I don’t understand the logic, and it didn’t change the problem)
  • Company name: my company’s name
  • What is registered when I click on the wallet: my first and last name
  • My business bank account: my company’s name

So what is blocking it in the end? Should it work if they put my first and last name back in the legal representative section? Should the wallet be in the company’s name? Nobody has been able to tell me after several requests.

It’s the « trading name », the company name.
This name must therefore be the same on the Vinted account and the Bank account.
This is what must be blocking.

In fact, you have funds belonging to « John Doe » and you want to transfer them to « DoeShop Ltd. » (this is an example).
So it won’t go through!

The best thing to do is to check what name Vinted uses.
If it’s « John Doe », so your own name.
Create a personal bank account, in your own name.
Link it to your Vinted account.
Request the fund transfer.
The 2 names will be identical (Vinted account and Bank account), the transfer will go through.
Don’t forget that you will be asked to confirm with an SMS code.
So make sure to provide the correct phone number to receive the code to enter.

Good luck,

The company name and my bank account have always had the same name, everything is identical, and I have always entered the code received by SMS, so the problem would not come from there…

Thank you for your time anyway

Hello

I am taking the liberty of reopening the topic because I still have no solution from Vinted, other than them repeatedly telling me that the transfer failed because I am not validating the verification.

We agree that this verification is indeed the 4-digit code we receive by SMS and which we must enter to validate the transfer? Because they are not even able to answer a simple question.

Thank you

Have you contacted MangoPay, instead of Vinted?
Because fund transfers or the wallet are handled by MangoPay (for now), not by Vinted (for now).
After that, about the SMS story, it’s at the very beginning, then for each fund request, it happens automatically without a verification code.

Now, a question:
What bank are you using for the Vinted wallet?
Because it might be the bank itself that’s screwing things up…

Try changing the IBAN to another bank account you might have to see. (of course, in the same name as your Vinted account)

I have indeed contacted Mangopay, who sent me back to Vinted…

And this is the very first time I have transferred money, my account only dates from June.

And I am with Société Générale, is it a bank known to have issues with Vinted?

On the other hand, I only have one business bank account in that name, so I can’t even change it… it’s enough to drive you mad
