Surprising novelty for me today: when logging into Vinted, they presented me, as usual, with the window asking to verify my phone via a code they send me.
Except this time, the code was sent to me by call (from 01 89 53 20 33 then 01 89 53 20 23) instead of by text: an answering machine spelled out the code to enter.
I didn’t answer the first call because Android alerted me to a « spam » call.
Be warned
I know, I’ve had it before, but for now, for me, it’s via SMS.
But the worst, if you use « Orange Téléphone », the Orange app, at first the calls, directly blocked, you had to identify the number (especially since they change them), add it to the list, what a hassle, but now it’s better.
Do you often have these kinds of checks?
For my part, I haven’t had any verification requests since… I don’t even count the months (years?) anymore. I had this once, shortly after creating my account, but since then I’ve never been asked for a verification code
Sorry to reply, it’s just that I have a moment from time to time, sometimes I clean up the computer (empty the cache, ccleaner) and I have to reconnect, so it asks me again.
In the spam folder, I found this message: « This person / this number left you a message…dial 5555 to listen to this message »
So it is indeed a voice message! I don’t have any texts.
What should I do?
JM Lecomte
On my end, I receive an SMS first, and if I’m not quick enough to enter the code, then I get a call.
I don’t know if anyone else has other experiences to share?
