I need help regarding a ban on Vinted. Three days ago, I was banned because I was posting too many items at once, and it was mistaken for commercial sales, even though I am just clearing out my house as a collector.
The very next day, I posted again and got banned, and this has been going on for three days. It didn’t give me the same reason, but in the end, it said I have to wait until June 23, 2026.
Have any of you experienced this type of ban, and if so, how did you resolve it?
Hello, I was blocked for 5 days for commercial sales of christening items that I have in large quantities. I explained to Vinted that if I had so many, it was because of my son’s christening which didn’t happen due to covid. Now they are asking me to delete all new items or all items I have in multiple copies (like a set of glasses) from my account, otherwise they will ban me for 7 days, or I have to become a professional seller. However, in Belgium, this status doesn’t really exist, and above all, I’m just clearing out the cupboards of a family of 5 people. I’m barely above the thresholds set by the state, which moreover does not consider this as professional activity.
In short, my husband will open an account and will also sell, so it will be legal.
But this is the 6th time in 3 months for completely stupid reasons, unfortunately Vinted doesn’t work for me and on Vinted, it’s almost like we’re not transparent.
I thought that in Belgium there were the same legal forms as in France?
In one’s own name (auto-entrepreneur in France)
SRL (SARL in France)
SA (SAS in France)
Is that no longer the case?
Being an auto-entrepreneur means you’re independent. You only don’t pay much the first year if your turnover is below €25,000, but after that, you have to pay social contributions and taxes.
There’s also the complementary independent status, but you need a stable job for that since it’s in addition.
And I sold for €2,400 last year and €1,900 the year before. So I don’t see myself paying for my second-hand items that I’m already selling at a loss, especially if the buyer finds a defect or Vinted loses the package…
The taxable amount should be indexed and should depend on the members of your household.
Oh no no, far be it from me to tell you to go Pro, especially for the sums you indicate.
I just wanted confirmation that in Belgium, there are indeed the same legal forms as in France (and you obviously have to pay charges)
Thanks for all these details
