I will soon be improving the favorite exchange feature between users with the following changes:
Allowing to select the desired number of favorites (instead of only the maximum possible). Example: If I have the Dressing subscription which allows me to get up to 30 favorites, I can choose to get 10, 20, or 30.
Allowing to get a more random number of favorites so that it’s less obvious that our closets benefit from a favorite exchange system. Example: when I request 20 favorites with the « random number » option, my items receive between 11 and 20 favorites.
But perhaps you have ideas for improvements that would be relevant? What improvements would you like to see on this feature
To read before anything else
=> Proposing an improvement does not mean it will be implemented
Indeed, I have to balance the feasibility of each idea, its relevance for Clemz, and also the time I have available to implement it. As I am alone, I cannot do everything!
Please keep in mind that I will do my best, but your idea might not be selected.
Thank you
Update as of September 5: the improvement « Perform a check before exchange to block exchanges for Clemz users who remove given favorites » is finally abandoned.
Indeed, it seems that this is a Vinted bug that can sometimes remove favorites that some closets give. So it is not an act of « malice »
We are talking about exchanging favorites and not giving away favorites
You want the favorites we give not to create notifications in case of a price drop or sale? Unfortunately, that’s impossible… Vinted is built that way
I think they are already without notifications.
But it’s true that in case of a massive price drop or when they are sold, we are flooded with notifications.
But I think it’s unmodifiable (that’s how Vinted wants it)
I agree with you @leadie91, we should benefit from more voluntary exchanges of views than favorites:
• More favorites than views, it’s not credible and it’s easy to spot.
• And then @Clement said in another topic that Vinted’s algorithm favors views, but that for favorites it’s not as clear [www.vint-aide.com/t/interet-des-vues-et-favs-clemz/335/9?u=helene2484].
Previously, we could add views; maybe these aren’t the right terms… but this feature was nice and has disappeared; probably because of Vinted’s restrictions…
I have a proposal from my side:
Would it be possible to paste a block of usernames to ignore messages to favorites?
Currently, you have to enter them one by one and put a space after each of them.
Most auto-completes handle this natively.
Use case: clear everything, take the auto-incremented list, paste it.
Thank you
Of course, you can’t implement all the suggestions, but thank you for taking them all into consideration and going to the trouble of explaining your choices. We feel considered as a customer and as a brain!
Forgive me if I’m missing something, but I don’t understand why one would want to receive fewer favorites than those purchased from Clemz. If favorites are good for sales, we should use our entire quota, shouldn’t we? Especially since they are paid for.
It seems to me that the views and favorites received via Clemz should be assignable to listings other than those of the same day. Because the system forces us to publish new listings every day, unless we want to « lose » the views/favorites purchased from Clemz. Our views/favorites could, for example, go first to the day’s items, then to those from previous days within the limit of each subscriber’s quota.
Obviously, this idea is not valid if it’s certain that Vinted’s algorithm only favors the day’s items. In that case, our unused quotas should be renewable over the subscription year.
Or perhaps create an additional subscription for sellers who wish to (re)publish less often. For example, a subscription with the same quota of views and favorites, but usable only once a week.
For sellers, it seems to me that this would be more effective and also more profitable, without affecting Clemz. It must be said that since Vinted tightened its rules last year, I’m selling almost nothing anymore.
So, to respond to the different topics everyone is raising:
That’s outside the scope of the favorites exchange feature… I might need to think about a feature to better manage your messaging, but that’s a whole other topic
The problem is that favorites can be given instantly. Views, on the other hand, take an extremely long time (because Vinted monitors browsing speed), and that’s why I’m suggesting giving fewer. Giving 30 views on 30 items requires waiting almost 1 hour! No one will want to do more.
Yes, I can confirm that’s no longer possible: Vinted has severely limited it.
Well, not necessarily. People with the « 40 favorites » package don’t want that many because they find it suspicious.
Views go to the last 30 items. Not just those from the same day.
Favorites, however, only go to those from the same day because getting favorites seemed effective only if they were on a recent item (according to many testimonials). So I want to avoid useless exchanges.
I don’t think that’s the right way to look at it When you pay for your mobile subscription with 10GB, if you’ve only used 8GB, will you stream YouTube for nothing to avoid « losing » the 2GB? No, because you don’t need it.
So, what’s not used shouldn’t be seen as a « loss » but as the fact that the subscription is more generous than what you need. The goal here is to make more sales, not to consume 100% of the Clemz subscription! If you have nothing to re-publish one day… don’t re-publish anything, it’s that simple
Besides, sales don’t necessarily increase by re-publishing the same item too often: we even think it can be counterproductive as explained in this short article
Hi Clemz, could we get the favorites within 3 minutes of publishing the article, in order to appear in the newsfeed and have greater visibility. Thank you very much
Unfortunately, it’s impossible to guarantee 3 minutes. In fact, it’s other Clemz users who give favorites, so I can’t predict when they will come.
But if you make your request during peak attendance (7 p.m. to 9 p.m.), you have a very high chance of favorites arriving VERY VERY quickly.

Hello @Clement, hello everyone.
I have taken into account that my suggestions may not be feasible.
So, yes to random favorites, I agree, even starting from 1, regardless of the plan. An item that receives 10 favorites for 1 or 0 views is suspicious.
The best thing, when coupling views and favorites, would be to have 1 favorite for 2 or 3 views.
If possible, favorites given by the application should be counted separately from real ones, given directly by people. Not by the application. I don’t know if that’s clear.
This could help to see if an item sells better with views/fav added by the application or without. And yes, I have taken into account that the potential interest of an item is not in its number of views/fav, but in the fact that people want it or not.
