Vinted allows selling/buying in Germany

Here is the email I just received.
Germany is a big market, to see if it can boost our sales

Hello,
Thank you Clément, I had received this information. I can’t wait to see if this will change things!
I was recently discussing with Leboncoin’s professional services about Vinted being a European sales platform (compared to them) and that there was a German version, not linked to the French version. Just goes to show!

I especially hope they aren’t addicted to the -40% offers like the Italians

And I also hope there will be a translator, because I took German as my first foreign language in middle school, but ouch ouch ouch

Especially the shipping costs are on sale for €1.49, I imagine for the launch, so it can indeed generate sales (and purchases )

Shipping costs of €1.49 are not for all wardrobes. For my items, shipping costs are €2.88. Maybe it’s only for Vinted Go. I don’t have it near me.

I think they’re pushing Vinted Go right now, I’ve never had so many despite it being noted in my ads that I don’t want it.

Do you think that with Ireland and Germany it will boost sales?

I follow the YouTube videos of Marcuus Lawrence, Yomi Denzel (a professional e-commerce specialist). But I would say that it can increase sales), just yesterday I was watching a YouTube Reel from an e-commerce pro and he has products that can do great in some countries more than others (as she says in this somewhat long video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BapvNzV27c&pp=ygUJTGlzYSA4bGFi)

And I know we’re not pros, but it’s a bit of « occupational deformation ». But we’ll see.

It will be for later:

Vinted’s incentive to sell with a personal account is still great

It’s surprising that they only connect individuals and not PROs. There must be a legal or other issue.

I read that there is a very strict regulation in Germany for professional packaging (or something like that, I don’t remember) and that it was very complicated to implement on sales platforms.

This is still bad news for the pros, of which I am one, because it means a lot more potential buyers who won’t be for us and, on the other hand, a lot more sellers who will potentially be for our buyers…

I already have several favorites per day from Ireland, so I think Germany would have clearly boosted sales.

Obviously, since they are not communicating, we don’t know much, I hope at least that they are actively looking for a solution.

I think Vinted doesn’t care much about pros, or even despises them.
For Ireland, I made 2 small sales this weekend, nothing great but you have to start somewhere.

1st sale to a German woman, no negotiation :tada:
