Only one report, account immediately blocked
[/quote]
I have the same reflex. If the exchange gets tense for any reason, I block immediately. Since once blocked, the Vintee can no longer see your wardrobe, this limits reports: they cannot select an ad.
it’s hard to hold back sometimes. but you shouldn’t say anything, really. Or say ‹ I understand, › a sweet message. Depending on what we’re selling, we have a more or less annoying population. We can encounter liars, people who are unhappy with themselves, who seek conflict because it feeds them, etc. If we react, if we play the game = game over.
On eBay, it was the feedback blackmail, and since negative feedback had a huge impact, we had to compromise.
Here, it’s more insidious; negative feedback isn’t visible, but a « quiet » report has an even stronger impact.
For me, that’s not the right method either. You also have to be careful because there could be multiple accounts, or family accounts, or social media accounts, etc. => same result, or even amplified if there are multiple accounts = multiple reports.
Really sucks because it’s the beginning of the month, and things had been going well since May 1st. And now, as usual, I’ve deleted everything and will have to restart later (thank goodness for Clemz)
« Wholesale commercial sales », the easy thing as soon as you have several new items in the same category…
Most likely the algorithm looks at the % of such items in the wardrobe. I have a few books still in cellophane that I classify as « new with tags », but they do not represent more than a few percent of the wardrobe. Never had an alert so far.
Major degradation at the carrier, locker, and drop-off point levels. Vinted is playing with our nerves. I think the situation is beyond their control and they are performing « too well » so it’s slowing down by filtering things as much as possible. At least that’s how I feel.
I predict that by Christmas this year it will be worse than ever.
In an unprecedented manner, an individual approached me about a history book, in English, on the subject of World War II, specifically on the extermination of Jews (a subject on which there is an abundance of texts). He threw at me grossly antisemitic Nazi propaganda posters, then followed up with insults on the same theme.
Yes, I’m facing the same situation. I haven’t been able to buy anything for several weeks because all the drop-off points offered are outside my department. I contacted Vinted but they don’t understand anything, telling me that if the item isn’t delivered, I can make a claim. That’s not the point; I’m not going to place an order that will be delivered 30 km away. After responding to all their requests for information, I end up with another contact person (or AI) who asks me for the same information as their predecessor. I give up. I don’t know if I should turn to the carriers because if I buy on Le Bon Coin, I have drop-off points near my home.
If buyers can’t buy, it’s no wonder sellers sell less.
Here, I drop off 10 packages at shop2shop, the next day it indicates that all packages are delivered, customers write to me that the pickup point is not the right one: indeed the packages arrived where I dropped them off. I go see, they tell me, it’s nothing. 4 days later, nothing has changed. That causes so many problems with the carriers. (Damn, I thought opening up to competition was beneficial and that the public sector was rotten (I’ve sent thousands of packages and letters via the Post Office)
