it’s a project especially since the site is old and has multiple layers, so there are things where there are several access paths.
Often what I advise is to start simple by doing the countries served by MR. And then we refine.
it isn’t at all, but once you understand it, it’s fine. As is often the case with eBay, it’s a complexity that might seem like a weakness but is ultimately a strength because it allows you to do absolutely EVERYTHING you want. But even I, who am fully into it, haven’t understood everything yet; I’d need to look into combined shipping now.
No
I meant that as soon as a private seller reaches a sales threshold, they will be blocked and will have to switch to Pro or stop
And here, eBay isn’t Vinted for multi-accounts.
Wow! Indeed. It’s competitive. Ebay isn’t like Le Bon Coin. It’s a behemoth. So Vinted has cause for concern. I’m continuing on my own path with Ebay. I find crazy stuff, I just bought a vintage cassette deck. I’m stocking my sales space. The quota is more than enough for me.
Oh okay, that’s what they call the payment limit. I think I was entitled to €100,000, so that should cover quite a few individuals, but it increases as the account performs.
Yes, it’s becoming the cheapest platform. On the other hand, when you’re not used to it, you have to be careful with them regarding certain fees that can sneak up on you without you noticing (sales cancellations, adding a second category, etc. …)
Yes, that’s it.
I don’t remember the sales limit when you are an individual at the beginning and depending on your performance.
I didn’t find it in their « Help »
It’s the almost ideal platform if it had more visibility. But its new strategy will hurt the competition. At least, I hope so. I don’t like to put all my eggs in one basket. We see the result today
Already at the visibility level, it is referenced on Google and in price comparators.
By the way, a piece of advice, even if not mandatory in particular, put the EAN codes in your ads. First, it’s how referencing is done and second, it will save you a lot of work if one day you switch to professional.
Thanks @Hypathie
This is your personal one, and you must have gotten a raise if your performance was at its peak. (Good management)
But I was talking about when you first open an Ebay account, I don’t remember how you start
Aco whispers to Hypathie… I hope you can go to the « Bahamas » send me a postcard
Apparently the first tier is 10 sales / 500 bucks, we’ll see if that’s up to date. But from memory, they increase it very quickly (like you don’t even have to wait for those 10 sales for it to be re-evaluated).
It should also be recalled that eBay was quite a jungle in the 2000s with a lot of scams and counterfeits, so they did a good job cleaning it up. But as a result, there are some constraints, but if you play by the rules, you normally won’t even really notice them.
It has indeed been a long time that I’ve been browsing eBay. So I hadn’t really paid attention until now. Especially for buying records, books, gifts from flea market vendors, old buttons. I love it. Basically, I hunt for bargains. But I regularly stock my sales space. Sometimes I sell a collector’s item of clothing, or a luxury bag that needs repair. It’s not amazing, but this time we believe in it. Go to the Bahamas
Full speed ahead! With the merger with Depop, it could be good. We need @Clement to build us a gateway (we’re forgetting about LBC, too old-fashioned )
