So, I currently have 3 Vinted accounts, each with more or less 200 listings.
However, for over a week now, I’ve noticed a sharp drop in views and favorites on all three accounts. This is the first time in 3 years that I’ve experienced such a significant decline.
Do you feel the same?
I must admit I’m a bit panicked because I’m not used to having such a long slow period, and I feel like I’ve been completely shadowbanned.
Do you know if Vinted has made an update that would encourage users to change the way they use the platform?
Thanks in advance!
I’m stuck, no ideas… But I think Vinted doesn’t realize they are losing more and more people. Around me, a dozen have stopped because of various problems.
It’s a shame because Vinted had a big surge, but today you can’t even sell normal items anymore. Their general terms and conditions are atrociously empty.
it happens to me all the time: periods where I list items that should sell quickly (with my business I know now) but Vinted no longer features me, like Gdx6 said it’s becoming a mess
Hello, the viewing parameters for dressing rooms have been switched to « relevance » and no longer « most recent. » For example, if you have a subscriber who is notified that you have made several publications, and they go to your dressing room via this button, they will not see the new items. They will have to go into « filters » and change the filtering mode. And they will have to do this every time. Except people don’t know how to do that, and it’s far too long and complicated.
if there’s only one article you’ll stumble upon it, if there have been several new publications, no. It’s an algorithm that decides what it wants to show you. Welcome to Gattaca
There must be a reason for them. You can’t be * that* bad. Or can they? They must get feedback from Vinted users. They are trying to bet on the Anglo-Saxon market. I’m getting the popcorn and waiting for the fall. When they get crushed by eBay plus the already huge second-hand market, they’ll come back with their tails between their legs to the European market. Or not. But I think
Thanks for the tip. I also notice a drastic drop in sales over the past few days. But March 2025 was also a slow period, I put that down to a seasonal phenomenon.
Hello, it was the FB forums that alerted me. I tested it. And bam! When you go to a dressing room at the start of spring and you see down jackets, you leave the dressing room. When you’re subscribed and you receive a notification of new items that sends you elsewhere, you leave the dressing room. All this without notice or consultation. I dream of meeting their marketing director.
As for a little over a month, when I enter the title and author of a book, I mainly get ads for the book in question, whereas this was not the case at all before, I am rather reassured about the search engine…
Hello, it’s been a while (2 weeks) that I’ve been scanning the conversations to find « consolation » regarding this brutal algorithm change. A year ago, there was a change and it was tough, many managed to adapt with reposting & other techniques. Except that now, the change is really hard to understand. For my part, much less favorites over time, and fewer purchases. (Overnight it crashed). I remain hopeful that it will improve but I’m still worried. Because yes… For 2/3 hours you will get favorites, then for 5/6 hours nothing more… Nothingness, the intersidereal void. And that, personally, absolutely never happened to me!
hello - one possible reason based on my experience.
I have several items favorited for a week and have not yet been able to purchase because the pickup points offered to me are very far away, even in the neighboring department, while I have several Mondial R and Chronopost pickup points around my home. The alternative is home delivery, but for one of the items, the shipping costs me more than the item itself…
Clearly, everything is done to force us to pay for boosts or put our wardrobe on display. In the past, I tried a few times, but it didn’t lead to any sales. I won’t repeat the experience.
In the meantime, it’s the key to getting simple views. I’ve tested different times of the day. Morning, afternoon, or evening, it makes no difference. Zero views and zero favorites very frequently.
I don’t even feel like bothering to take or retake nice photos and fill out the listings properly anymore. I’ll end up going back to Rakuten; I used to make a lot more sales there.
