Abusive restriction of a professional account for commercial sales

I was also restricted once again, I also requested a report of my profile, to see if I was also a victim of mass reporting, they tell me they sent me an email to validate the request, it’s been several hours and no email received, did it take a long time for you?

Hello. My account has also been blocked here.

I am a professional in Spain dealing with TCG cards and Sports.

The problem is that when I looked, they require my home address to be made public, and that is something they can force me to do, but I am not going to do it. For this, I have a P.O. Box, which they told me they cannot accept. It’s strange because on two other platforms where I sell (Cardmarket and Cardtrader), it is allowed.

Anyway, I went to register as a pro, and it turns out there’s an error because they don’t recognize my tax ID, even though I’ve been a professional for 3 years!!! I went to look for more information, and the solution many people use is to create account after account.

What a disappointment, Vinted.

@ Kambei : sending the email is fast. BUT you need to have authorized Vinted to send you email notifications. And yes, this means you will have plenty of other notifications.

@Davideldezaragoza

I don’t know what the possibilities are in Spain. In France, it is common to go through a domiciliation company, precisely in order not to reveal one’s personal address.

a question: do you use many different Vinted categories for books?

I’m putting everything into books. Since a change in the directory structure last summer, there are not many subcategories left: fiction / non-fiction / comics / youth.

Yes, I meant in subcategories. Which 4? Do you select them, or does Vinted suggest them?

Yes, I think I only use 4 subcategories. I don’t have any cookbooks to sell, if there is a subcategory for that.

thanks for your reply

do you put summaries of the content in the description? I imagine it’s too long to do, right?

No, I don’t provide book summaries. Google will give them to buyers, and I’ll never be as good as Google – and that’s what I tell the curious who ask « what is it about? ».

I noticed that some listings had long descriptions of the books. I didn’t feel the need to do so for sales.

Ah well there you go, I’m joining the club, account blocked for 5 days. They’re exhausting

What reason was given?

Sales, classic

It’s driving me crazy…

disgusted, especially since things were starting to pick up again a few days ago. I really want to stop using Vinted.

okay

you don’t do it because it’s too tedious?

Oh dear.. to go back to eBay?

No matter how you turn the question around, it’s hard to find a lasting solution.

Since the beginning of the year, Vinted accounts for 72% of my sales, LBC 22%, and Rakuten 6% (Rakuten is in freefall). So, doing without Vinted…

me too, it’s my main sales channel, but it’s becoming a burden, so I’m not ruling out thinking about and trying other things.

Personal site? Apart from LBC and eBay, there’s nothing else really?

Depop and Vinted are rubbish, aren’t they?
