This type of behavior exists on other sites with different methods applied depending on the site.
They are competitors, pure and simple.
Reading the thread, I can understand some positions:
- Mass sale of new items
- Resale of Ultra Fast Fashion at exorbitant prices
- Lack of transparency about origin
- Use of the term « Vintage » to deceive buyers

Misleading AI photos
None of this is false, but it is not forbidden.

There is clearly abuse in the resale of fast fashion items, especially with photos from the sites.

Also see this guy, so proud that his reports are being heard. He readily attacks small accounts (but we’ve seen for a while now that dropshipping is done via small accounts).
Personally, I am not against dropshipping/reselling accounts from Shein, AliExpress, etc., being shut down. They contribute to driving prices down and moving the platform away from its primary purpose, which is selling second-hand items.

Dropshipping is not possible on Vinted because you have to ship with the provided label, whereas dropshipping involves shipping from these « suppliers » since the principle of dropshipping is that the seller does not manage shipping at all.
As for reselling SHEIN & co, I am against it too, but we know that right now everyone is being penalized because of these abusive reports.
And some small creators find their designs copied on SHEIN, besides, how can you know where the sold items actually come from? I get my supplies from a French supplier and yet I found items on SHEIN and I’m the first to be disgusted.
Some people manage to bypass the problem and unfortunately dropshipping remains a possibility with Vinted…
A short response from Vinted regarding my restricted account, I really don’t know how to react to so much absurdity. However, despite this little message mentioning an error (if that’s really the case…), my account is still restricted. Well, you were unlucky, I have the same problem but I didn’t ask for reports. There are haters on Vinted who have nothing better to do than eliminate the competition.
We are going professional for reasons, we pay fees to external organizations to access it and we are not allowed to sell commercially, it makes no sense. Don’t look for it, it’s the number of transactions and returns that will stop you in your tracks, although it’s counterproductive for them in the end because professionals are much more energetic and serious than many individuals.
It’s a shame that currently there are no sites that bring together so many countries for online sales that are as interesting; collective wardrobes and eBay charge a lot of commission on sales.
Try Amazon in particular for those looking for where to relaunch.

I also received emails from Vinted following my complaints this afternoon, and that was useless too. They tell me they have resolved the problem, but I am still restricted, and they mentioned a refund, which I didn’t understand at all because I’m not asking for a refund at all. I just want an active account following a blocking error. I think they are overwhelmed; they must be mixing everything up.
