Your system is really cool, but I’m not a fan of giving access to my emails.

Clemz will offer you this without access to your emails. Release scheduled for this month

A naive question, you all talk about ******(a competitor of Clemz) but you all pay €35/month for this software? I might be wrong, but I find that expensive for tracking sales and revenue.

That’s not all: it generates invoices for your accounting, it sends invoices to buyers, a big time saver. It generates slips in cropped format and with the title on each slip.

For the cash register, no need, you have it with your Vinted transfers.

It’s still a pain to pay so much for something that is automated on other platforms that directly provide the invoice for download with the saved information. Which shouldn’t be too complicated to implement since Rakuten was already doing it 15 years ago (or more)
Clemz, okay, it’s very helpful, but these are still options that can be found on eBay and are automatic (for republication, for example)

Vinted is still annoying with its empty interface, it feels like Netscape (old-timers will understand)

on other platforms you pay fees. and 35 euros is not expensive compared to what eBay charged me each month, and in addition to also charging commission on shipping costs, plus the shop, plus PayPal fees. I have given them over 1000 euros in a month.

Hello, I didn’t know about all these practical accounting methods. I’ve been doing my invoices myself for 3 years, luckily there aren’t that many. Quick question since you’re talking about it, do you have a technique to avoid item deletions, suspended accounts, etc.? I’m a Pro and my account just got suspended for commercial reasons. I’d never had any issues before. (I list my items in very good condition, I take new photos all the time,…). Thanks in advance!

Hello!
You have already asked this question in the correct thread regarding a suspended account. Please let’s not mix topics

Thank you!

Yes, but Vinted also charges fees. The fact that the buyer pays them is just psychological; we have to take them into account in the price, so we still pay them, but indirectly by selling cheaper. So, we shouldn’t consider the total fees, but the difference.

So, €35 per month for CRM, €15 per month for Clemz, that makes €600 a year for options provided on platforms that have real interfaces for professionals. So, in the end, you still pay these fees to be able to work comfortably.

I would need to calculate it, but I’m not sure I would lose out by paying slightly higher fees on eBay. Especially since I pass on the difference with Vinted to the selling prices, so in absolute terms, it’s the customer who pays them more than me.

And personally, I would be delighted to rediscover the eBay of the good old days when we sold easily, without giving things away, and to pay them fees.

I disagree.

Ebay made a series of detrimental decisions, and they got eaten up. They still exist, but before, Ebay was the holy grail, everyone was talking about it.

600e per year is nothing, it’s the subscription to the Ebay shop, so you pay upfront even if you don’t sell anything.

I used to give more than 5/6000e per year to Ebay. And on top of that, in the turnover, we had to include shipping costs, so pay our social contributions on shipping costs, and Ebay fees too. Just that in a year was huge for low-priced sales (10 euros + 3.5 for shipping). (25/30% of the total price was shipping) = thousands of euros in contributions just for that.

Let’s put things in perspective: it’s not comparable. We’re talking about a factor of 10 in fees + social contributions.

For the fees paid by buyers, at least there is REAL protection for both sides, unlike Ebay which refunds the buyer unconditionally. And here too, I lost money, quite a bit. That also needs to be added to the cost of the site. The pressure of reviews, 3 bad reviews or stars out of 500, so less than 1%, and boom, account degraded = sales decrease.

A quick question that many of us are probably wondering: since we’re talking about CRM, I imagine we need to give access to our Vinted account to be able to use it? Same for Clemz, does that not pose a problem for you?

No, it goes through Gmail. With AI (among other things), you can retrieve all the invoices and do the accounting by automating everything.

Not for Clemz, no, and it won’t go through Gmail either.

we must not have had the same experiences because for now I’m really struggling to see both sides with Vinted. Especially since I had a dispute on eBay once in my life.

yes that’s a huge drawback. eBay is more suited for companies that can deduct that. But the price drops on Mondial Relay have still done a lot of good in the equation (last year I was more skeptical).

I’ve always reasoned in terms of « what do I have left at the end » and not « what do I have to pay. »

On eBay, I showed a concrete example with a not-very-common figurine of which I had acquired a small stock. Listed on Vinted for €69.90, not a single sale, best offer received was €45. In the end, all sold on eBay for €89.90. I showed with all the calculations that once all fees and contributions were paid, I didn’t even reach the selling price on Vinted (so I would have still had to pay the contributions).
For me, the problem I encounter on Vinted is the margin to make a sale. In my niche, there’s clearly a pricing issue. Moreover, being in a niche that remains very superficial and far from essential, times are tough right now. So paying for add-ons is something that’s carefully considered at the moment.

As my accountant friend told me: « Margin or die » :face_savoring_food:

I understand, and yes, the general context has also changed significantly. The technical means for selling.

Paying when it sells is indeed not a problem. A professional, square system for a large company, which is clearly not possible on Vinted; On eBay, yes, and that changes everything.

In AE… that’s another matter.

I loved eBay, really! And I admit that it was with a heavy heart that I closed my shop only 6 months ago.
